This middle school demonstrates significant shortcomings in administrative leadership, particularly in the area of behavior management. There is a clear lack of consistent enforcement and follow-through regarding established policies and procedures, which directly impacts student safety and overall well-being.Of serious concern is the school’s failure to consistently comply with legally mandated IEP requirements. Documentation of IEP-related findings, progress monitoring, and data collection is either insufficient or not provided to parents in a timely and transparent manner. This lack of documentation undermines parents’ ability to meaningfully participate in their child’s educational planning and raises questions about compliance with special education laws.The school also struggles to foster a culture of diversity, unity, and shared accountability. While diversity may exist within the student population, it is not reflected in a cohesive or inclusive school culture supported by leadership. Communication between administration, staff, and families is inconsistent, and concerns raised by parents are often met without clear resolution or follow-up.Overall, the absence of strong administrative oversight has resulted in fragmented behavior management practices, inadequate adherence to legal obligations, and a lack of trust between the school and families.

PV has one of the best AICE programs. Compared it to other Palm Beach HS and found that AICE program is very well run, gives clear outline of what subjects students need to complete. My kids both completed AICE diploma in 11th Grade, and qualified for 100% Bright Futures going into college applications. It is overcrowded - their magnet programs are very highly sought after. The school admin is very motivated to get everyone into College - and hold regular recruiting and parent/student forums and meets to educate parents on how to help their kids apply. Like all other HS, there is drug activity and fighting - but if your kids don't want to be involved, it won't affect them. There is a police substation right next door as well.

For 11 years our three kids called Sunset Palms home. Love them and highly recommend!
