This is the school where teachers care about all students. Eventhough it is a southside campus, high academic expectations are a priority. Teachers work hard to get the students prepared for high school.

My son is a third grader at this school. For Easter I baked 19 cupcakes ( one for each student) and delivered the last day of school before the holiday break. To my surprise, the teacher did not give out cupcakes. After receiving a message from her that stated that once the kids left for the holiday, it dawned on her that the cupcakes were actually for the class. Seriously????? How much common sence does a educator have to have to realize that if she received a personalized basket made out to her ( Ms C. Apolinar) and 19 cupcakes, it would all be for her. It gets better. She waited 6 days later to distribute them to students. My son was absent that day so he got his 7 days later. Was that a good move on the teacher? If she had the commen sense a professional should have, this also should of dawned on her. Those are egg and milk based cupcakes. I dare her to leave an egg omelet and cup of milk out for 6 days and then eat it. It is no surprise why this school scored a 4 out of 10. With teachers like this I feel sorry for those students.
