"Bluebonnet Festival is wholesome goodness of fun. Between the food and all the shops or even live bands playing each night definitely makes a memory of a lifetime "

"I drive only 8 miles to work. This is an extremely rural area and not considered to be safe for walking around. "
  • G6g550
"Everyone in this area has to commute via personal vehicle 5 to 25 miles for employment. There is no public transit."
  • Goggidart
"We are all very close. Potluck dinners twice a year. But visit each other very often! No crime. We all look out for each other. "
  • Elyzabethmusiak
"I feel that burnet is a family friendly and safe place to live. I very much enjoy living here. houses are nice and affordable! "
  • Sonny
"My neighborhood is full of homes that are almost are on top of one another; for example, one could slightly raise the volume of voice to speak with either three neighbors to them. Also the apartments on Vanderveer where I currently reside seem to be a round the clock traffic attraction for groups of 16-21 year old young folk all hours of the day and night. Loud. Wild. Sometimes quite rude. Sometimes quite helpful... when moving furniture. Wish our neighborhood had annual block partys. One for summer kick off and its end."
  • Renee K.
"Great people in a relaxed country town!definitely enjoy the area!!!! Would recommend it to anyone who wants a family feeling!"

"It’s less busy than bigger cities and the population is older adults. It’s a quiet place There is not a lot of crime or criminal activity that would make anyone afraid to live here."
  • Jennifer w.
"I love the small town feel. The area is nice and the school system is really good. I love the community events that happen all year round."
  • Sharai K.
"Burnet, TX is an excellent area to either raise a family, or retire too. There are many lakes, marinas, golf courses, and other public attractions with 15 minutes of the area. The schools are known both for their academic programs as wells as their athletic programs. There seems to be a little bit of everything for everyone. The people in this community are extremely friendly and genuinely seem to care about one another. Overall, out of all of the places that I have lived in Texas, this one was definitely the best!"
  • patrick l.
"This is a great area to live in Central Texas! Several fresh water lakes nearby. Inks Lake State Park just is just a short drive. Not a bad commute to Cedar Park, Austin, TX. area. Nice Weather year round!"
