About this House

This is a classic Victorian two family, built across from Town Hall by Civil War soldiers about 1872 who did a remarkable job!! It has been my privledge to own it for the past 47 years, but at 72 it is time for me to begin interviewing successors. It provided a wonderfull place for the kids when they were small, and supported life in the country for us in the years since. I have used the historic preservation method and regard my maintenence as a spiritual excercise...you may want more modern? It features a 7,000 s/f lot, with blooming flowers during season. The first floor has hardwood floors, fireplaced living room, book cased dining room, 3 bedrooms, original kitchen and bath. Upstairs has pine floors, 2 bedrooms, panelled living room, computer room, 3 season porch, original (old) kitchen and bath. There is room to expand into the attic. Seperate utilities, off street parking, a great rental history. It needs work..1/4 roof, rebuild back porch, some electrical..and general fluffing..so you can experience that spiritual excercise I speak of.     "Everything is pretty close to Danvers. Major highways and road ways. Major retailers all within 15 minutes or less. Plenty of food options, 2 malls. Public schools are some of the best in the area. Overall friendly place to live. I enjoyed it"
