"It’s quaint and white with friendly neighbors and amazing people. Everyone contributes to the community and it’s an overall wonderful place to raise kids. We live close to the schools and are in walking distance of all the wonderful shops and all they have to offer along with the incredible restaurants"
  • Tuckerpalmer1977
"Watch for traffic. People don’t stop at stop signs! I’ve seen numerous cars fly right through multiple stop signs. Walk with your children or drive them to a park. This area rarely gets patrolled by police officers."
  • Julieasteigler
"Not much public transportation . Quaint little downtown area. Friendly merchants, and locals . A lot of new homes and condo being built. Not much affordable housing."

"Very dog friendly community; watering dishes put out by most businesses, many places offer treats, and many people out walking dogs on leashes. "
  • Robert M. H.
"Dog owners would likely love the dog park and the community of dog lovers. Dog owners would likely dislike the fact that too many apartments don’t allow medium to big dogs. "
  • Artisan_432

"nice and quiet town. excellent bike paths for jogging and dog walking. feels neighborly and close knit."
  • MJ
"We have a lot of bears and other wildlife here. My dog has had run ins with a few, so this plays a part in freely walking on my street. But I figure this was the bears’ home first, so they have dibs and I respect that. We have supervised play in the yard, and there’s a dog park in town we enjoy. "
  • Deven R.
"Gallery nights, winter carnival, 4th of July golf tournament. Another option would be the local golf course, which is close, and also the ski hill. Also nice is the lake access at state Park. "
  • C
"I drive myself anywhere I need to go, there’s no public transportation system worth using because it only goes to select places at select times."
  • Trulia User
"Dogs love the woods out here, but it’s best to keep an eye of them, since we frequently see bears and occasionally, mountain lions. "
  • Timmushkin
"This is a great place to live if you like the outdoors. Need to take your family to big city like Spokane or Seattle for big city experience. Local play house and theater are great. "
