About this House
This unique third-floor loft is available in a beautiful historic home overlooking the river and downtown Morgantown. I am the owner and part-time resident of the home and am looking for a respectful housemate who would enjoy living in a peaceful and welcoming environment.
The loft occupies the entire third floor and feels like a private studio retreat, with high ceilings, large windows, and beautiful views of the river and downtown. The space includes a queen bed with Tuft & Needle mattress, clawfoot tub with shower wand, refrigerator/freezer, stovetop, microwave, large closet, and generous storage.
Tenants enter through the west side entrance of the home and pass through the main house before heading upstairs to the loft. The space offers excellent privacy while still being part of the home.
The home was built in the early 1900s and after Mr. Wright past, Mrs. Wright ran it as a bed and breakfast. Later it served as a church rectory. Now, I am honored to be restoring and honoring this history.
The 'River Street Rectory' is a calm and welcoming place with wonderful neighbors and a strong sense of community.
I travel frequently during the year, so the house is often very quiet. When I am in town, my guests use a separate entrance on the other side of the home.
Laundry is shared in the basement.
This living arrangement is best suited for a single professional, graduate student, or visiting professional who appreciates a peaceful home environment.

The house sits just above downtown Morgantown. A nearby stairway leads down to the riverfront trail, restaurants, and the Ruby Amphitheater. The PRT station and WVU campus are easily accessible.
Rent is $1,300 per month with utilities included.

Single occupant only.
The home has a calm, retreat-like atmosphere and tends to attract thoughtful tenants who value a peaceful place to live. I originally purchased the home as a healing sanctuary and community space, so maintaining a respectful and peaceful living environment is important.
Utilities and WiFi are included. The loft is best suited for a single occupant seeking a peaceful and comfortable home environment. Because the loft is accessed through the main house, the home is maintained as a quiet and respectful space. Off-street parking is available. No smoking and no pets.
