  • Zfcw8pwrqm
"it’ has lots of good bagel shops bakeries, italian restaurants and is a family area. it’s a very long commute to nyc"
  • Rafael Familia
"There are plenty of dog parks in the area. There is not a lot of car traffic or noise pollution which usually bothers dogs."

  • Christine B.
"We are half hour drive into the city. Bus stops everywhere. Trains also! Stores and shoos are walks away. I travel into NYC regularly it’s so easy but we have beautiful land and country feel. The GW bridge is 25 minutes away from my front door . The train 10 min away the ferry is 15."
  • Mckenzienova
"lack of sidewalks, especially on busy roads with blind corners. streets are not good for dog walking and very few public parks allow dogs"
  • Deven K.
"It’s quiet but everyone is very friendly and kind. Many are very active with kids and family’s walking around enjoying the fresh air "
  • Mckenzienova
"lack of sidewalks in many places, narrow roads in those places, blind turns, etc... but there's a nice dog park at Kakiat"
  • Elizabeth P.
"Great place to raise children! 35 minutes to NYC ! It’s very safe and peaceful! School district is very informative and #1 fir children to attend . "
  • Amarchese5
"Lots of kids, great schools, beautiful community, recreational facilities, nice shops, plenty of restaurants "
  • Julie
"There are lots of nice places to walk. Plenty of trails. Some of which include; Kennedy Dells, congers lake, high tor, and rockland lake. There are two dog parks that I know of. One at Kennedy dells and the other at congers lake. No off leash walking though. "
  • Angerlydi
"The buses take forever. Sometimes they even pass me without picking me up. A car is necessary to live in this area. "
  • Michael C.
"We don’t really have community events, that is a huge reason why I am looking to move out of new city. Not a great place for young people to live in either, great for seniors. The parks are well maintained and it is an easy commute to places like bear mountain if you like to be outdoors. Would be better if they planned more community events for all to come out and enjoy "
  • Anonymous
"Great QUIET area . Only thing is it’s pretty dark at night , not too many street lights . Very safe . "
  • Paul J. C.
"I live in this area and we really like it. The schools are great and the people are friendly. We have a good relationship with our neighbors. "
  • Mpbrennan83
"The taxes are to high. We should have a much nicer landscaping for what we pay. just like Westchester county offers. And they should have put a train on the new bridge to make our commute easier, which would make our property valve more "
  • Rvelasco2000
"I think they like because I nice and very quiet area and everything is close shopping gas deli restaurants and more"
  • Ron G.
"Live in this community for more than 15 years. Very safe. Good education. All you need is up to 20 min drive, unless you really need to be in Broadway every week. "
  • Trulia User
"My neighborhood is very quite, peaceful, and easy to get around. It’s also close to nyc via public transportation or driving."
