This school doesn't care about the safety for kids at all. I've had friends and acquaintances alike deal with obvious bullying and/or sexual harassment experiences without a single punishment, with some of the teachers even encouraging it. Your experience in this school depends entirely on the teacher's and student's opinions on you. Don't try to report the bullying to admin, because then they'll tell you to ignore it until they stop, since that's easier than actually doing their job and making sure all kids feel safe and welcomed in a school that claims to do that despite several kids saying otherwise. There are also teachers who have made inappropriate statements towards kids, and are still employed here at Charles Town Middle School. If you want your kids to be safe and respected, send them to another school.

I would highly recommend sending students to SJES. The principal, vice-principal, teachers - the entire staff - are excellent! Bullying is not tolerated and parents are notified immediate when challenges arise.

This high school is truly exceptional! The teachers are passionate about what they do and are always willing to go the extra mile to help students succeed. They challenge students academically while also providing support, ensuring that every student feels capable and confident in reaching their goals
