  • Alexander Chaussat
"I commute to Berkeley every day. If you leave Rohnert Park around 6:30 or seven in the morning, you will avoid all the traffic going to San Francisco or East Bay . Now that they completely reopened the freeway to three lanes all the way to Santa Rosa. There is almost no traffic. "
  • Katie goff
"Rohnert park is very safe and friendly. It is a college town, but mostly I see elderly people here and would love to see some younger generations making this place their home"
  • L Davis
"Farmers market, easy access to smart train very walkable filled with parks. Very safe area for families friendly people"
  • Et66
"I’ve lived here for 25 years and have enjoyed it. I would definitely recommend this area. I have two daughters and they’ve grown up here their whole life. "
  • Rachel Spruce
"Lived here for a couple of years and my family loves it. Having a park nearby is wonderful for my young kids. "
  • Rachel Spruce
"I’ve lived in this neighborhood for a couple years and love the accessibility to parks and creek trails. "
  • Cynthia Carrera
"Public transit is available and students ride for free. There are many walking and bicycle paths. This neighborhood is flooded with people at haloeeen and forth of July. "
  • Cindy Boldt
"There’s nowhere for teenagers to hang out And unless they go to a park, the town is involved in sports and has a good support system. Most neighborhoods are nice well suited for kids, but the crime is increasing w/time."
  • Dunhammaddy89
"Sometimes people do not leash their dogs with no recall, although rare it happens. Dogs also jump fences here and tend to get out. Other than that I would say it is a very safe place for dogs as far as cleanliness. Definitely a lot of dog owners here. "
  • Veronica V.
"There is no downtown in ROHNERT Park. The city is sectioned off and each section A-M of the alphabet has a park."
  • Eva.kids
"It’s a small town but growing used to be lots of farm land but not anymore good college town. Great police offices also we have some really great teachers and staff at the schools "
  • Josephine J.
"All the neighbors plus parks in every section and every section has its own public pools it’s a safe area not big schools middles schools and high schools plus Sonoma State University close bye!!!! "
  • Josephine J.
"A lot of people with there dogs in the neighborhood they even have a dog social on the baseball diamond area I think it’s in the morning and maybe in the evening they have a dog park plus homes are close to stores just a nice place to live "
  • Fili A.
"Great place to have kids. People are sweet and it’s easy to get around. Family is the best nobody really speeds around"
  • Tiffany L.
"I’ve lived in Rohnert Park for over a year and really like the convenience of having everything I need around me like grocery stores and the freeways. Housing is expensive though and sometimes it doesn’t feel safe to walk around certain areas alone. "
  • Dominick O.
"I have a very easy commute. I access Petaluma Hill Road from Snyder Lane and take it all the way to Santa Rosa, which is about 12-15 min away. Beautiful drive as well!"
  • Zach G.
"Great neighborhood to raise kids and I feel like my neighbors are always watching out for the kids. Safe and quiet area would highly recommend the area. "
  • Tracy M.
"Restaurants & stores centrally located. Everything u could need or want could literally all be found within 3 miles of one another. "
  • Jonathan S.
"smaller than Santa Rosa, and different than Petaluma. It does not have a downtown, but over all this is home."
  • Piratr09
"Clean and well maintained area. Good for walking and running. Bike lanes all over town. Shopping and food scene is limited but good enough for daily life. "
  • L M.
"It is a great place to raise a family. We are close to mountains, lakes and the coast. We have amazing restaurants. We are Wine Country! "
  • Crystal R.
"unaware of events that happen here. I don't believe there really are any beside the college events. no parades or holiday events happen here they happen in Santa Rosa normally."
  • Arbryant
"I commute to the Bay Area each day. It’s long but not terrible. Coming back to the community is easy"
  • Nicholas D.
"Nice middle income neighborhood, this particular street is like a raceway in the evening...the police don't seem to care or are powerless to stop it."
  • LadyKemmer
"I currently commute to Richmond via HWY 101. It is long and slow. Thank goodness for the HOV lane (most days). "
  • Rose W. M.
"Lot of stop signs/ lights to get to freeway. Some freeway on-ramps are better than others. Five o’clock is the worst time to be out on the road"
  • Bellwtsn
"People drive recklessly it’s pretty unsafe and I see parents letting their toddlers walk alone around parking lots and streets I’ve had to tell parents to watch their kids and have had to yell at drivers on multiple occasions when a child was almost hit."
  • Melissa S.
"Every neighborhood has its designated park which is great to raise children in. That being said, the rising housing costs make it unaffordable for most people to live here. There are also some college parties that can get loud at times. Other than that it’s a decent little town."
  • Tedfish11
"Plenty of sidewalks, open fields and a dog park close by. Nice climate usually cool evenings and nice days. Rarely does it stay hot very long. Yes "
