"Some of the top rated schools in Florida. Great sports and very cultural"
  • Bruce Klein
"Quiet streets, Philippe creek, close to beaches and downtown It’s a nice neighborhood to live in. Neighborhoods mostly keep to themselves but are mostly friendly when you run into them on the street walking your dog or just taking a walk. There’s a nice park close by with a dog park. "
  • B sed
"Palmer Ranch has many loving lovely communities including condos, apartments and single home developments. the single home developments have many amenities for adults and children. some of them including playgrounds, dog parks, pools and other amenities"

"I am visiting for a couple of weeks and so far Sarasota seem very safe for me. I am staying outside downtown. About 20 minutes outside downtown Sarasota and I feel very safe outside here. I am yet to experience downtown at night."
  • Janice Lowrance
"Lots of dog lovers and dog owners walk their dogs multiple times a day. Lots of retirees walking mostly small dogs as there are size restrictions."
  • John Hermansen
"We have great schools in the area. Siesta Key is a safe place with kind neighbors. We are a popular spot and do get slowed down during tourist season, but it’s a small price to pay for living in paradise. "
  • Karenhudgeons
"Near Payne Park, the Legacy Trail, good schools, Bayfront, downtown. Publix is right across the street."
  • Zoe Folts
"Dogs are welcome in most but not all businesses. People are very dog friendly here. You see people walking their dogs all the time"
  • Irene Melendez-rodriguez
"I love Sarasota. I been living here for 12 years now and it is a beautiful place to live and raise kids. Close to the beach and beautiful areas to visit. "

  • Sam Tekieli
"Indian Beach/Sapphire Shores is a wonderful, diverse, friendly neighborhood. Beautiful area, much nicer and safer than surrounding areas. I will say that neighbors move in and out too frequently for there to be substantial community, and public transit is accessible but not the best. "
  • Eileen Morris
"My commute to work from where I am currently staying is less than a minute drive and about a 3 minute walk. "
  • Jess.sanderson
"Great and safe for familiars of all kinds. Wonderful neighborhood. Family friendly. Pets welcome. Wonderful. "
  • Kim
"Sarasota is a nice city but overcrowded. Traffic is often heavy. Beach and downtown parking can be extremely difficult. "
  • Nancy
"Convenient to downtown and places to shop and for entertainment and recreation. Good access to essential swrvices and transportation, if necessary, such as shopping, dog walking, and lovely park across the street."
  • Z6dhj7pgwq
"The Bazaar on Lime makes My neighborhood the best! Also, having such close access to downtown. Just a walk away. "
  • Kim Johnson
"Holiday lights and great neighborhoods to take kids trick or treating. Summer are hot and there are plenty of communities that have swimming pools "
  • Janice Lowrance
"We have a condo in Sarasota and like the laid back vibe here. Neighbors are nice. It is very clean and we love the beaches."
  • Deb Gerardi
"I work less than 5 miles away from my home so the commute is nothing. But when I go anywhere in Sarasota it takes about 45 minutes to get anywhere sometimes it takes an hour. "
  • Kim
"My neighborhood is in a nice area but it’s so overcrowded. Traffic delays are common and it can be difficult to enjoy the things that make Sarasota special. "
  • Rpurdyuf
"Everyone is so helpful and nice!! So many excellent places to visit and the beaches are beautiful. Boating, hikes, shopping and lots of fun entertainment."
  • Kim
"Sarasota has heavy traffic most of the year and tends to have a lot of residents who are not year-round residents. Most neighborhoods are pet friendly. "
  • Dana Smith
"Roads are quite busy but the highway is easily accessible, many businesses in the area, and a short drive to the beach!"
  • Rnegron42
"I only live 5 miles from work and it’s not that bad of a commute. In season it takes about 25 min . When I lived in Lakewood Ranch it was a nightmare and took over an hour."
  • Loveeamberrosee
"Very dog friendly see people out and about all the time with their pups dog parks and dog beaches around too"
  • Roandersen
"Variety of home styles brings in variety of residents, permanent and seasonal. Rules are strict and neighborhood monitors report the smallest of violations, such as leaving your garbage bins out late if you have a long day or putting them out too early, not pruning dried palm fronds immediately, and not planting garden areas to match neighbors. If you are not here full time or are away on vacation you must hire someone to be sure you don’t violate any of the very picky rules. Residents have little use of the club, tennis, pickleball or golf courses without paying exorbitant fees. Having said that, as an elderly woman living alone I feel safe in this development. The safety patrol is responsive and will come 24-7 if you have a concern. Not much of a neighborhood feel."
  • Johnwest3004
"I’ve been here since last year and it’s a great area. I am here for business but contemplating a permanent move "
  • Trulia User
"loved this neighborhood.wish I never had to move from it just had no choice all houses were occupied at the time."
  • Trulia User
"I don’t actually have one. I work from home, but if you walk out of the development, there is a bus stop not too far away if you don’t have a car. Most things are within 20 minutes away from here."
  • Trulia User
"people are Friendly's and watch out for one another. it's a safe place to live , close to everything you may need "
  • Trulia User
"Lots of people waking their dogs especially in the nearby park, there are also several dog parks nearby."
