Of course, like any high school, it has its issues but overall the teachers want to support you and the administration is there to help you. You will succeed at this school and beyond if you put in the effort. AP and honors classes are rigorous and taught by excellent teachers. At those levels homework is a lot, but doable if you are dedicated. There are great opportunities for leadership, community service, extracurriculars, clubs, athletics, etc. The music department is fantastic, as is track and field and cross country. Both are currently in HK Middle School and were/are more than prepared by KES. Grade-wise they are both at the straight-A level and are socially involved in many programs/athletics the school has to offer. 7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageUnbelievable support for students. 2 full time counselors, full time school psyc, and full time social worker. Plus a therapist for kids with a higher level of need. Classes are very rigorous. Classes that have a lot of kids who need support have para educators and teachers on standby to help. Our family is from out of state and are overly impressed by the ratios and people willing to be engaged in helping kids.
