This middle school demonstrates significant shortcomings in administrative leadership, particularly in the area of behavior management. There is a clear lack of consistent enforcement and follow-through regarding established policies and procedures, which directly impacts student safety and overall well-being.Of serious concern is the school’s failure to consistently comply with legally mandated IEP requirements. Documentation of IEP-related findings, progress monitoring, and data collection is either insufficient or not provided to parents in a timely and transparent manner. This lack of documentation undermines parents’ ability to meaningfully participate in their child’s educational planning and raises questions about compliance with special education laws.The school also struggles to foster a culture of diversity, unity, and shared accountability. While diversity may exist within the student population, it is not reflected in a cohesive or inclusive school culture supported by leadership. Communication between administration, staff, and families is inconsistent, and concerns raised by parents are often met without clear resolution or follow-up.Overall, the absence of strong administrative oversight has resulted in fragmented behavior management practices, inadequate adherence to legal obligations, and a lack of trust between the school and families.

We have 2 kids attending Manatee Elementary since Kindergarten. Their Teachers have been very good in our experience. The negatives are few. I volunteered for a class Christmas party w 2 other parents. Kids had a wonderful eoy party. Upon exiting & signing out on required computer in front ofc @130p, I was confronted by Principal Jones as to why I was still here & hadn't left at Noon. I explained I had no idea there was a cutoff end-time Volunteer requirement, (especially during the Holiday party). I was asked which Teacher I was helping & scolded publicly. I left embarrassed & sad for the Teacher & kids. The behavior by the Principal was shameful & dishonorable. I was a Volunteer & should have been respected & appreciated instead of leaving hurt & embarrassed. I didn't speak up since it was a Holiday & I helped the kids & Teacher have a great celebration since they all deserved it. Wth is wrong w that Principal? Scrooge is an understatement!

My son had struggled academically and, in the past, Park Vista has been more than willing to help with their programs. Unfortunately due to certain circumstances, we had to move his education to Seminole County. Now that we are back, we went to re-enroll him back into school. I was called saying that academically, it will not be a good fit after I wasn’t even given a chance to send over the transcripts from where he actually did really well at. You see a child’s record at aTime where he really struggled and judge him based on that and then turn around and blame it on academics when we both know that’s not the case. Every child deserves a second chance and to deny a child that and say that he’s better off at an alternative school is AWFUL. How dare you Park Vista. You should be ashamed.
