7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAll these great reviews are for Mr. Nieto, in the 3 that my daughter has been attending this school, he has been the only teacher that has given me a call to let me know how her progress has been. Honestly I really appreciate him for that, thank you for your feedback Mr. Nieto keep being a great Teacher!Parent Review8mo ago12 Reviews - Durham Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageToday was a blessing, enjoying Grandparents Day with my grandson. However, HISD was unbelievably disappointing. I graduated from an HISD school in 1993, and back then the support system was remarkable, parents were highly involved academically as well as in extracurricular activities. What I witnessed today at Durham Elementary was nothing like that. Grandparents were not reassured, nor respectfully acknowledged, and being left to sit outside in the heat for lunch was truly disheartening , especially considering that some grandparents are older and should have been accommodated with more care. They definitely need a better Principal as a replacement asap! A principal who’s willing to communicate with parents.Despite it all, I’m praying for the teachers in HISD to have a stress-free school year and to reach their goals at the highest level, no matter the circumstances.Parent Review9mo ago16 Reviews - Waltrip High School

"there are too many families in the area and they drink way too much!!! there are many established restaurants in town that are moving to the neighborhood. it's a great place to live. the best part of living here is that the traffic isn't as bad and there are plenty of ways to get in and out of the neighborhood.
