4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThey are fantastic at actually helping students with special needs! They have done amazing things in the two years we have been in this school. They take all of my concerns seriously and have made efforts to help with social skills as well as academic for my child with high functioning autism. They have also been able to help my other child who is average in most subjects and advanced in others. They have excellent tools in place to allow for growth of all learning types. The only issue I have is that they don’t always alert parents when they are leaving the elementary school and traveling to the high school as it is considered the same campus. As a parent this was very worrying to find out after the fact. The school did not do much to address my concerns with that either than stating there were no more planned trips this year. The school overall is fantastic at helping their low income families. They have food programs in place for those in need and have offered backpacks and jackets to those in need as well. The principal is always busy but has made time to know EVERY student by name and she always manages to contact parents back when there are concerns.Parent Review2mo ago6 Reviews - Middletown Area Middle School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagewould not reccomend putting your child in this school district AT ALL. they do not care about the students mental health, your kid will get bullied and they do not do anything. and from experience the teaching system is slow, your child won’t get a good education here. It’s confusing to me as to how this school has less students, and yet they have horrible education, compared to a mechanigsburg school, which has around 1,000 students, and their education is better, and i’m sure their take on students with mental health is better too. not only is this schools education horrible, but the majority of teachers/ guidance counselors are biased, and will favorite students. meaning one student has to do homework, but the other does not have to. this school is honestly lazy and i do not recommend admitting your child here into this school district, i reccomend admitting your child into one of the mechanigsburg schools, they will have better education and mental health there.Parent Review5y ago4 Reviews - Check out schools near 76 E Main St.

"Many dog walkers in the area, most of which are friendly. It’s a nice place to live if you seek a community feel. The school district is mediocre though and you would be better to private or home school your littles."

"There are a lot of neighborhood dogs. Most of which are VERY friendly. Lots of families walking dogs in the Rosedale development area of the township. "

"It’s a safe neighborhood in a very good school district. I would recommend it to families. It’s in a good location between Hershey, Hummelstown and Middletown but still in the country. "

"I used to live in Middletown with my parents and it is a nice town but it definitely depends on where you live. Some homes and developments are very nice and expensive while others look slapped together with whatever was laying around and you could see both extremes within a 15 minute drive."

"It’s not very kid friendly. The neighborhood is mainly adults and elderly people. Most people keep to them selves unless they don’t like you and it’s loud in the area. "

"Easy access to major roads, turnpike, airport, train and bus terminals. Typically easy to get around. Lots of back roads. Noticed some increase in morning traffic in the past 3 years. Unfortunately, our decision makers have allowed more development of homes too. This doesn't help. "

"Just know of two annual yard sales that are held in the neighborhood. There is a Halloween parade as well. "

"Dogs have are welcome as long as owners clean up after them. Most homes have a dog and there is a constant stream of dogs being walked throughout the neighborhood. If your dog is not friendly, this is not the place to live."
