"Manoa is cozy, family-oriented, alive with the laughter and sounds of children at school or in the park, university students having fun with colleagues, and rich in native Hawaiian history."
  • Trulia User
"older neighborhood lots of hills and older homes retiree white collar workers and lots of children in the area"
  • Trulia User
"Lots of parks and everything is conveniently close to walk to! Many great things to do as a family right around the corner from your home!"
  • Trulia User
"Great community. Aloha spirit is alive and practiced here. Quiet place and close to many stores, restaurants and beaches"
  • Trulia User
"It’s the last affordable district that still has those neighborhood vibes Hawaii used to be known for. Conveniently located and the weather is always beautiful "
  • Trulia User
"Very dog friendly area. Not too much so that every property you walk past has a dog barking at u behind the fence line , but members of my community can be seen walking their furry friends every day , all day. Big dogs, little dogs, shy dogs, cute dogs. However, due to the lack of grass on the sidewalks, owners aren’t given the opportunity to ā€œneglectā€ cleaning up after the animals. So no smelly ā€˜land mines’ to be concerned with. On my street , we are almost all pet friendly apartments. Yes, i did just say apartments and pet friendly in the same sentence. So if you’re not into animals , reconsider Herbert street. Not suitable for you "
  • Trulia User
"Mānoa is very conveniently located, and most anything you need is no more than 15-20 minutes away. (add another 10-15 minutes during rush hour.)"
  • Trulia User
"Hectic traffic at certain times. Definitely need to be mindful of school schedules, holidays, and events happening around the community. Plan your route ahead of time and get to know alternate routes as well as back road options. Be sure of where you’re heading before u get on the road otherwise you’re just contributing to the problem. Abide by rules of the road and posted signs. "
  • Trulia User
