7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is a good school. The staff are welcoming and friendly. The school is nice and the school day flows well. And the curriculum is good overall. However, some rules don’t make sense and aggravate myself and other students. There are also parts of the curriculum that are too easy, such as the fractions unit and place value. The science is interesting and the same for social studies, ELA is okay I don’t have anything bad to say about it. The only thing left is the students, most are friendly but the dynamic of having to insult people is really irritating, why should you have to insult someone to be cool. There are students who are trying to break people down, they whisper behind your back and make snide comments about you, the only reason this is not 4 stars is because of those people, and as a new kid it’s hard being a target for those people.Student Review1y ago - Armstrong Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOverall, I liked Armstrong better than any of the other schools in the Westborough District. There is one minor gripe—when my third grader asked me what was a “coyote”, and she wasn’t talking about the wild dog—is a book about Honduran immigrants who utilize the services of these smugglers of illegal immigrants really such an appropriate reading selection for a third grader?! Really?! And yes, she did find that out in a selection of books in her teacher’s classroom, as it isn’t a term we use at home.Parent Review4y ago - Westborough High School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy family and I relocated to Westborough a year ago due to its exceptional school systems, and we are extremely pleased with our decision.Despite being more challenging than the average school, it is reflective of the Westborough population. All of my children have some form of learning disability, but they receive tremendous support from the system, which is both well-organized and supportive and the teachers are amazing, Yes, all of them. However, there are two areas in which the school system could improve. Firstly, the high school building looks old and gloomy, which is not as welcoming as the newly constructed "Fales Elementary School." Secondly, there could be more emphasis on sports teams. Although they are performing well, there is more emphasis on academic accomplishments. In conclusion, I have no desire to raise my children in any other location except Westborough. It's that simple.Parent Review7mo ago - Sarah W Gibbons Middle School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMe and my friend (both current students at the time writing this) are writing this review together and in out combined experiences the teachers use zearn way to much and zearn doesn't help at all it just gets us mad. The teachers are biased and most teachers don't care about your opinions unless in a debate. My friend has witnessed teachers picking favorites based on grades and if you're in honors. My friend reports that students need to get on some teachers good sides to get good grades. I've found that some teachers don't really teach and just give you worksheets. For social emotional support the most support you'll get is from your friends. If you're upset the teachers will just throw you at the guidance counselor (metaphorically NOT literally just to clarify). The guidance can't always help with both personal and school related problems. Overall guidance is mostly helpful. Teachers also don't get both sides of the story. My first year I was trying to get a pencil back from someone who had taken it. Guess what I got in trouble and the teacher didn't even ask about any context she just assumed I was in the wrong. The special education isn't always consistent. The first year I was supposed to get special help during a free period and all I got was worksheets and even then sometimes I didn't. The Safety is fine it could be better. Amongst students the safety isn't great. It could be a lot better but it holds up. A certain teacher didn't stop a student getting harrassed. As far as me and my friend are aware the teacher could hear it happening as well and just chose not to help. Some students get targeted for certain characteristics about them and sometimes teachers do nothing. Although it might seem like you're bounding with your teacher one mistake could mess that all up.Student Review7mo ago - Check out schools near 75 South St #3.

"Love Westborough. Great community and lots of things to do. Schools are one of the best in Massachusetts and everyone is always friendly. Close to Boston by car and by train with convenient parking at train station. I also have to say that the police department are on their game here, always looking out for the best of the community. If you pass through the town you gotta check out the local brewery where we stop into on our dog walk (Cold Harbor). "
