Katherine Edwards Middle School is a wonderful school with many great programs being implemented to support student success. I am especially happy that Community Schools services are available, as they provide valuable resources for both students and families. The Pentathlon program is another highlight, offering students meaningful opportunities to grow academically and challenge themselves.The campus is well cared for, but it would be nice to see some updates to the artwork around the school to keep the environment fresh and inspiring. I would also love to see more family engagement opportunities, such as wellness events or fun community gatherings. Events like a movie night with food trucks would be a great way to bring families together and build an even stronger school community.Overall, it’s a positive and supportive environment, and I look forward to seeing the school continue to grow and enhance its programs and family involvement.

We’ve had three kids go through Sorensen Science Academy, and what has always stood out to us is how much the staff cares about the students. The teachers and staff really get to know the kids and want them to do well. Over the years we’ve seen different teachers and administrators come and go, but the quality of teaching has stayed strong. We also really like the direction the school is headed under the new principal. There seems to be a lot of positive energy on campus and a real focus on doing what’s best for kids.Our kids have gone on to do well in middle school and high school, and I think Sorensen gave them a great foundation. They learned the academics they needed, but they also learned things like responsibility, respect, and how to be a good person. No school is perfect, but we’ve always felt like the people at Sorensen truly care, and that’s what has made the biggest difference for our family.

This high school has definitely went down hill from 10 yrs ago. My older children attended here and now my youngest is here. The bullying you have to worry about is the staff from the principal all the way down to security and the SOR is a joke there. The principal can’t even communicate with a parent without throwing a tantrum and is expected to deal with teenagers. This place is horrible now. I wouldn’t recommend this high school.
