It is a gated community, with a community swimming pool, a fitness center, tennis courts, a community beach, and a full service marina. Most of the homes are located on the lake with boating piers. It has a mixture of full time residents and homes that are used for vacations, primarily in the summer months and during the Auburn football season."

There isn't much shopping or many restaurants in Newsite but it's only 15-20 min to town and 45 to Auburn for shopping, dining, and night life. There's something to be said for living in a small town, I loved it there."
