5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have had two students attend and graduate from San G. Both graduated with high honors. The AVID program was very helpful in guiding both students with college preparation. San G. also offers a parent clinic which informs parents about the college application process and financial aid. The key to success is to be an active parent and allow your student to participate in school activities. Both of my students were very active in sports and school activities.Parent Review10y ago - Serrano Middle School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI was alumni here. So many good memories, I am shocked and dismayed at how things have gone for my own children. They completely ignored my daughters need for an IEP. She has autism and glaucoma... so if autism wasn't enough her going blind should have qualified her. Then my child was bullied severely. I said something. It was blown off. 4 times in one week she called from the nurse when she was injured yet again. My other child was so afraid of the bathrooms... she ended up with this terrible ulcerated rash because she wet herself in class everyday. She couldn't make herself use the bathroom there. It was severe. At age 6 she showers herself, I was unaware of the problem. I immediately took her to a hospital. I also called a social worker. To make matters worse this year they taught her terrifying music. The poor dear won't walk through the house alone now. This is ridiculous. Why couldn't she just learn reading or writing or math...? The kids also picked up pin worms here. So be prepared for that! Way worse than headlice! The only thing I can say positive is the teachers do care. We had some really special ones. And the after school program is fantastic. If not for these things I would have pulled my kids out way before thisParent Review6mo ago - Colonel Joseph C. Rodriguez Prep Academy

"The safety of a neighborhood or community is based on the involvement of the families that live there. To keep it safe takes more than police officers cruising through for 5 mins twice a shift. Parents talking to parents and children pointing out the things that they see. When you move into a new area get to know your neighbors and ask questions. Neighborhood Watch isn't necessary when everyone is watching for their neighborhood. Keep out children, each other and homes under a concerned eye."
