"As a dog one to myself, I like that it is a safe neighborhood to walk your dog you see people walking the dogs at all times a day, early morning nighttime afternoon. It is a great place for people and their pets."

"Church trunk or treats , old Tucson studios, community garage sales, mountains and hiking trails mt Lemmon "
  • Dreniz
"dangerous. drivers are horrible. no regard for the safety of others. red light running is a hobby for people "
  • Becky Prince
"There is easy access to your bus routes and it is minutes to downtown. Shopping is walking distance. Excellent restaurants and live music on most weekends. Neighbors are well educated, friendly, and ages range from 1 to the 90s. There are a lot of walkers in the morning and evening and parks, golf, tennis, and a community are blocks away. "
  • Larryaasher
"It’s a nice neighborhood lots of friendly people. I can’t think of anything else to say. There an elementary school nearby. "
  • 2hxywnp7rd
"I like the overall neighborhood it has a good feel and my neighbors are kind but not in my business "
  • Carrie Anne
"Not a very kid friendly city in general, but if you live on the outskirts of Tucson; East- Tanque Verde/Vail, North (Oro Valley), West(Picture Rocks), and far south (Sahuarita) then it’s pretty nice!"
  • Carrie Anne
"Not much to do for kids. Bad schools. Almost no parks in the area, side walks randomly cease. It’s 100+degrees for 2/3rds of the year. Don’t recommend "
  • P Dublin
"We have a neighborhood association (not an HOA) that puts on events in our little local park. Events like Mother’s Day celebrations, movie nights, back to school BBQ, Friday nights at the park with food trucks. We also have a community garden. My neighborhood (Colonial del Valley) is mostly elderly people who raised their kids here and a mix of younger people who are buying homes from relatives. "
  • Macyrclark
"This area is my bubble has everything most of the restaurants are walking distance from where we are but a little to hot for walking but could in the off season for sure."
  • Angelkatrina7
"There are a lot of dog walkers in the neighborhood. There are, however, a fair number of stray cats in the neighborhood & that can upset some dogs. "
  • Loveashley526
"Dog owners would really like the face that its a safe area and there are a lot of dogs and dog friendly people, "
  • Marie
"Great friendly neighborhood- lots of people walking dogs and being active. The views are amazing and there is shopping close by "
  • Shanice Gonzalez
"They would like the decent space the dogs have in the yards and close walks to Jacob’s Park. At the park, there is a dog park as well. They may not like reckless drivers that cut through the neighborhood streets at times. This would usually occur at night though. There are many dogs in this neighborhood, mostly friendly and very few would ever get out. "
  • 2hxywnp7rd
"The streets are dark at night T. Take all safety precautions to keep loved ones safe. Make sure if your a bike rider you have all legal lights. "
  • Penny Donnelly
"Movies in the park, community gardens, within walking distance to mall, frisbee park, good restaurants nearby"
  • Lesreyhen
"It’s a really good area to walk your dog and visit with other walkers. It’s really quiet and no problems whatsoever "
  • Melissa Porter
"Just visiting but love this neighborhood and location. Restaurants and walking options are plentiful. "
  • Jesus331913

  • Judith Friedman
"I’m new here and have no children, but it seems as though it is family friendly. Definitely dog friendly!"
  • J2t55y5rdn
"Rita Ranch is a quiet little suburb. People are friendly enough but not over bearing. Most neighborhoods facilities are maintained to the bare minimum, yards are mostly well kept, amenities are lacking in the area "
  • Trulia User
"Unfortunately, there is no special events in our community neighborhood or anything around here. Maybe one day things will change."
  • Uriv.223
"Very beautiful and perfect the people around the while are always helpful and respected been here for my whole life and it keeps on growing and growing gotta love the south side "
  • BP
"It is centrally located near Reid Park. You can easily walk to the bus stops nearby. It is minutes away from the university and shopping downtown or a variety of shops, eating establishments, and the mall is not far away. There is also a fire station nearby, but not too close to be disturbing. "
  • Mary Earney-stoe
"I’ve lived here since the first house was built. Perfect neighborhood for my family. The pool is wonderful and so are the little playgrounds. There also sidewalks available for walking."
  • Trulia User
"This neighborhood use to be awesome. We would play outside and it was safe. Once families moved out and investors came in and started renting out these homes it was no longer safe. "
