Like all middle schools today I imagine, Carroll has a lot of kids smoking and vaping. The school told me there were only 3 vaping incidents this year, a lie. My 7th grade son had 2/4 core teachers leave halfway through the year. Then the principal left in the same year. Don’t send your kid to this school unless you have no other option.

I can’t say enough good things about Lynn Road! I was uncertain about what path to take when choosing an elementary school (private/magnet/charter/etc) but even if costs and convenience were all equal I would choose Lynn Road again. My bright, sensitive, anxious child has had wonderful teachers; she loves going to school and has learned so much because of their excellence in the classroom. She is very advanced but it has not been a concern; her teacher this year was especially great at continuing to challenge her to do more and to teach to her level. Other shining stars on the staff include Ms. Abbott at the front who knows all the students by name, Mr. B who makes PE every students’ favorite activity and runs an awesome Field Day, Ms. Kilgore who put on a musical that the students were so excited to perform in, and Ms. Miller who is invested in making the school the best it can possibly be. The PTA is incredible and does so much for both fostering a strong community among families (fun run, movie night on the lawn, bingo night, spirit nights at Gonza and Two Roosters, and spring carnival were big hits!) and for working tirelessly to improve the school and support teachers with their needs. We have made so many connections with other families and couldn’t picture a better school for our child. A bonus- Williams park next to the school makes for a great place to meet other families and have easy play dates after school! We are excited to continue to be part of the Lynn road community and can’t wait to watch our child grow there in the years to come.

My daughter attended this school for four years and had good teachers. However, the counselor was not very helpful, so she had to seek assistance from a different counselor. The art teacher is wonderful. The school infrastructure needs updates, and there should be better communication with parents.
