"Its a private quiet area there is a small park with in walking distance. Nobody seems to bother anyone. "
  • Kleppert548
"My siblings; ages 6,11, and 16 love this neighborhood. First place in Columbus where we all felt safe and at home at in a very long time. "
  • Trulia User
"I lived here a few years back and some streets are better than others. Always keep your car doors locked with no valuables inside is my advice if your moving to the area."
  • Kirsten C.
"Good area for working professionals minus the campus noise. Don’t live by a Xenos house and you’re pretty well off"
  • Amy A.
"People are walking their dogs all the time. But I have also seen an uptick in loose dogs lately. Which is concerning "
  • Sarah H.
"Easter egg hunts and cookouts, nice neighbors, the gated community and pretension, the yacht club and it’s drama, local tavern and coffee shops "
  • Becca K.
"There are bus stops every few blocks, I like to take the Cota downtown to work it seems to be the cheapest option and a decently short commute there and back. "
  • Joyworks
"This is a mixed neighborhood, young couples, older long standing residents, students. Lots of dogs and gardens. "
  • Rghin
"Lots of sidewalks and close access to the Olentangy river path - a great place for long walks. (Lots of pedestrians and bikers on the path too though) "
  • Timmyshinny
"There are a lot of younger families moving into this area and it is up and coming, housing prices are increasing"
  • Ashley R.
"Easy, charmed even. I am able to stay on surface streets and make it south of downtown in ~15 minutes "
  • Jaebee202
"Nice balance of young and older folks. Front porch community. Great things within walking distance. Area is getting lots of exciting new business builds and updates. Neighborhoods are quiet even though they're off High Street."
  • Jeremy
"it's a very diverse neighborhood. Close to downtown. Easy access to highways. up and coming, lol. Good mix of renters and owners. Lots of people involved in the community."
  • Mark H.
"The walkability of the neighborhoods and diversity of food and drink options that are affordable for recent graduates or first time home owners. "
  • megansouthern
"I used to live in this area, and have many friends who still do. The public transport is excellent, served by both COTA and the free CABS service to campus. The neighborhood can be loud (students or recent grads are the majority of the population). Parking may be difficult to find, and there is a lot of smash-and-grab theft in the area. "
  • Jeanne O. k.
"I live in the Old North and have for many years...this is a dynamic neighborhood of artists, young families, OSU staff and students, professionals and graduates. Walking distance to great amenities along the High St. commercial district is outstanding. Love the easy access to amazing parks, ravines and bike trails including the Olentangy Multi-use trail. The city of Columbus has stellar parks, recreation centers and well-kept grounds to experience nature with ease and the amazing Wetlands and OSU research park offers impressive bird watching and serene walking paths. The Old North is a an older neighborhood with mature trees, sidewalks and eclectic homes with active neighbors. Enjoy easy access to the major freeways, St. Rte 23 - the major North-South road through Columbus, 10 minutes to Downtown Columbus and Uptown Worthington. I love the dynamic community of the Old North and highly recommend this area as a great place to live and a great place to do business."
