5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI heard that this school had sponsored teachers meaning they are now legal resident of this country from being a foreign national. And I heard from a realable source from the Human Resources that they are no more sponsoring. That will be the biggest mistake that this district could make because I have 2 kids and 5 nephews and nieces who all go to this high school and they all said they were all great teachers. So what if they left? I'm sure there are more teachers who needs a sponsor who are good or better than the old ones. 3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have had a challenging time working with the staff and administration at this school for many years. They treat the students like criminals and clearly do not understand how little they understand about various social service and mental health supports. Kids are set up at this school for a life of crime, in my humble estimation. I, myself, every time I visit the school for a work-related meeting, I find myself absolutely dreading the interaction. Post-interaction, I've felt blamed, judged, and often enraged--or probably humiliated if I wasn't so confident in my field. They are rude and immature at best. I feel so much frustration for the lack of education their staff seems to embody. There is no discipline. They have hired an entourage of security guards with cop-like, military mentalities. These are kids! Their solution to a problem, nearly across the board in my experience, is to send the kid home. There is no ISS apparently, no detention even (I have asked so many times for something like this and am told they "don't have the staff"). Just send them home. "A lot of many places to eat, drug stores, auto repairs shops, a lot of Chile roasters, a few schools, a lot of hotels, inns and motels, car wash places"

"This is a favorable established neighborhood in Espanola. The Plaza has a new gift store, and a non profit arts council with educational art offerings for kids, adults, elderly and disabled. The Plaza has different music venues just about every Saturday night through the summer. I feel safe walking in the neighborhood untl dark. There is also a lovely Vietnam Vet's memorial covered with vibrant, healthy rose bushes and of course, the Bond House, a museum for everything Northern New Mexico."
