6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe teachers are good natured kind people that are stuck teaching the common core curriculum. They mostly rush through the assignments just to try to cover everything before the state tests. The problem with this is that most children can not keep up. It then becomes the parents job to learn or relearn and then teach their child, leaving everyone frustrated. Some of the children become so frustrated that they just give up and cause trouble at school because they feel as if its pointless to try. This child will either get pushed into the next grade still unprepared or stay in the original grade and cause more trouble because they are now mad that everyone knows they couldn't handle the work. It is a horrible cycle that will continue until the teachers are allowed to take the time with the children and learn at the pace of the child. The teachers really do the best they can considering the circumstances. Luckily my son can keep up most of the time. He has also stayed after to receive the extra, more personalized help. It truly is a parental and teacher responsibilty to keep your child on track.
