My experience with the school has been excellent at distinct levels. I rate this school high in safety and teaching. The teachers are dedicated and caring. Too often, the media focuses on deficit views of the school, yet the assets offered by this school are often ignored.

This is a horrible school my child was bullied non stop by children and she is only in kindergarten, the teachers have no control over the students , they don’t take bullying serious and academically it’s horrible . They’re more concerned about attendance than the well being of the child. If I would have known about this site before enrolling I would have never allowed my kids to be apart of this place . My poor child has been through hell. It needs to be shut down it’s full of unloving children. In the teachers are not skilled at what they do they will hire anyone just fill the position, the people in this place are not passionate about teaching . It’s so sad .

This school is a mess my daughter came home crying over her not getting an award . She said she didnt fell like she accomplish anything . I feel so bad for my baby she said other students were getting awards for a&b all A“s . I feel like its shouldnt be any awards you dont know how other kids feel for not getting a award . She said she was trying all her school year and didnt get an award . This shouldnt be allowed at all think about how other kids feel.

My main problem is the teachers; some are good teachers, but it feels like some teachers don't care about their students, my last 7th grade math teacher was not very nice and didn't care if we failed or not, and some teachers are lazy and don't even try. A lot of substitutes they hire are not very good either. Classmates tend to be rude, and unless you act like them, they won't accept you or help you. The social worker does a good job at what they do, providing many helpful resources. Fights aren't common but still happen, and even after they are handled they always come back up.

It is a great school and my son love it

This school has several bright points and also many challenges. I think the school does a really good job with providing a quality place to learn; many awesome teachers, some not as great, that's the way it would go at any school. The principal cares about the students and, in my experience, so do the teachers. Maybe it's not a 5/5, but it's also not a 1, so I want to balance it out.

Sidener is a fantastic school in every way. The administration is wonderful and caring. They are fantastic about communicating all the relevant information to parents. The teachers are kind and generous. It’s small enough that you feel special with lots of diversity and kids from all parts of Indianapolis. We have tried several schools in the area and Sidner is above and beyond the rest. I highly recommend this school if you want a down to earth school for your high ability kid.
