  • Shawn Schofield
"Lots of critters around here and you could say the neighbors may go nuts if ya have outdoor pups. As long as you have a fence what can others say, just put that beware of dog sign on to cya."
  • Candacetrotter
"Fall Festival and the truck or treating on Main Street are always fun! I really enjoy going to the food park "
  • Heather.mahaffey
"Short. Traffic is only due to construction. No public transportation. Takes 5-10 minutes to get to work in the neighboring town. "
  • Chelsea P.
"we have great neighborshood watch and its quiet. More homes are being updated with new housing coming in"
  • Tami
"This is a quaint little town and seems like a nice place to raise children. I see children playing outside pretty frequently. "
  • Joel M.
"It’s quiet place !! Good area ! All the necessary stuff! City make a lot of complaints about if you have stuff in your back yard! Looks clean ! Just some homes that they are dirty but not to bad ! "
  • Chaunci
"Short and sweet. Nothing is too far from anything else. The next largest city is Sherman, TX - a whopping 10 mile south of Denison. The traffic between here and there can be testy, but is rarely grueling."
  • Chuck M.
"Certain parts of this town are great but you have to watch out for crime in certain areas. Downtown is getting better, and the country areas are wonderful "
  • David P.
"ease of access to downtown is easy and traffic conditions are not bad here too. It's a friendly community. "
  • Susan
"There are many things for the family to do in Denison. Mainstreet has many events like street fairs and concerts. "
  • Lindseybostic
"Way too many pit bulls and aggressive dogs in the neighborhood. It is hard to take your dog for a walk without getting jumped on by another dog. It has happened to us more than once. "
  • Alicia W.
"nice quiet.older neighborhood close to shopping and hwy enjoy the kept up yards and lots of trees. "
  • Elizabot M.
"We have a great dog park in the middle of town. People are very friendly and have their dogs fenced. I have witnessed most dog owners have their dogs on leashes. There are various dog stations, like poop bags, downtown. The stores will put out a water bowl for the dogs. There’s a lot of things to do with your dog. They have a festival just for dogs in the spring. You can take your dog trick or treating and dress them up. I love living here with my family and three dogs. "
  • Eric M.
"the city will take your pets and fine you quicker than they will let you know. had a city worker roll up on my yard woth his gun drawn."
  • Lisa And Billy Arnold
"Nothing special about this town, it's just like any other mid sized TX town. If you don't like the heat you're looking in the wrong state."
  • Eric M.
"city managment is horrible. the police are horrible. avoid both and its a pretty decent place as far as aging cities go. Being so close to a lake we should be much better off. road are great. if you have an ATV."
  • Eric M.
"Rent is cheap and it is a quick and easy drive to nearby cities that actually have things going on. "
  • crystala

"everyone is pretty friendly... keep to themselves but there are no community events. these houses all need remodeled and then this would be a great neighborhood. But almost every house needs work."
  • Lindseybostic
"Lots of dogs... some aggressive. Lots of pit bulls. Most people keep them put up, but occasionally they get out. makes walks kinda scary. "
  • Lisa B.
"The only con to living in this area owning a dog is the street I live on, Morton st, is a very busy street. But thankful I have an alley in the back with plenty of parking, leaving me enough room to take her out back there. "
  • Regina
"I drive 6 miles to work. It takes 6 minutes. Easy commute to work. There is no public transportation. "
