We were thrilled to buy a new house and find out our son’s school was only 1 mile away, now after a year at the school we will be pulling him out for homeschooling next year. The teachers here treat it like a job, and the children are just a chore that is a part of the job. Also, the drop off in the morning is the worst I’ve ever seen. They only have a 10 minute window to drop the kids off, and even with only a 10 minute drop off window they will still shut the doors early. The reason this school gets 2 stars is because the principal is great. The lady that works the front desk at drop off is so rude and disrespectful, I’m not sure how she got a job working at an elementary school.

This is a terrible district for learning. While I can only speak for the High School, the entire district has terrible issues with communication across the board. The leadership is abysmal at best, and the toxic culture that has festered for years leaves teachers feeling defeated. Stay away if seeking employment. Parents in the community should be weary, and ask questions regularly regarding the well being of your students.

Me and my friends have been sexually assaulted multiple times and have reported it multiple times and the school board did nothing about it. The most recent situation was my friend went to the gas station by McDonald's and got sexually assaulted by a high schooler so she fought him and the next day she got two weeks of suspension. There are lots of racist kids here and homophobic kids they do not take bullying nor sexual assault seriously here I do NOT recommend sending your children here at all. The hygiene here isn't good either for instance they don't flush the toilet or clean anything, on multiple occasions I found stuff in toilets and it stinks really bad in almost every classroom.

I have had several children go through this school. Overall, a K-1 only school is great. But this school system suffers from weak leadership from the Superintendent down.
