/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school is not the best in my opinion. There’s lots of fights mainly in 6&7 grade but there’s still fights in 8th grade as well. The main principal is not that good because most of the time she doesn’t listen to both sides of the argument before making a decision. The authorities are rude as well as the people at the front office are rude too. I feel like the care more about grades than us students. The bathrooms are not very clean and most of them don’t even have tp and soap. The teachers are mostly good but as a lot of them left the subs took over and don’t know how to run the class. There hasn’t been any pep rally’s or field trips in 2 and a half years other than the student vs teacher soccer game. I could go on and on about this but I’ve told the hard cold truth about the school in my opinion. In conclusion I recommend not even touch this school with a 39/2 foot poll. I wish I could have left sooner but Im in my last year so it wouldn’t be worth leaving now. I’m very sad about this last year of morehead it could of been so much better.Student Review2y ago - Coronado High School

/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy school is the best experience I have ever had regarding education, I came from other country and it was a challenge to fit in in this new environment, but Coronado students are really charismatic and there is no hate for anyone, all of us are Thunderbirds as a whole. The majority of the teachers know what to do in class. The secretaries, counselors and coordinators are really helpful. Coronado High School is a great school, I honestly think that it is one of the best schools to attend in El Paso.Student Review10y ago - Rivera Elementary School

/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe have really enjoyed our year at Rivera. My son is excited about school and enjoys his classmates and teachers. I appreciate that it is a smaller school and the staff seems to know all the students. I was sad when they had a few kids transfer out the second week and they went from two kinders of 15 kids each to one kinder class of 25, I know it is a public school and they have to use resources in the best way but bummed that it went from such a small class to such a large one in a matter of days. The crosswalk guards, the cafeteria and recess monitors all know our sons name and take the time to say hi to him and all the students as they arrive at school. They all seem to be so cheerful and it really begins his day on a high note being welcomed to the school like that. I will say we have had no special attention or needs and I am not sure if those things are handled well or not here, I have heard mixed reviews from friends who have needed special services. I do love that it has a small school feel and helpful staff. The things I am disappointed about (Side bar if we were not moving this summer I would get more involved and I did attempt to join the PTA but after the first virtual meeting I never heard anything additional) I am sad that we haven't had one fieldtrip, one class party where I could participate or come in to be a room mom, no field day, no muffins with mom, no parents involved dances (these are things I have seen at other elementary schools in EPISD). I am sure these are things that are so dependent on volunteers and I know the lady who is running the PTA just started to organize this year so hopefully that will change but I was def. jealous and bummed that I felt like I didn't have anyway to participate in the school activities and or the lack of them. Overall I would still have picked this school. We are in walking distance, and I loved walking him to and from school each day and my close proximity for when he has been sick etc. I do still think he has learned SO much and appreciate the school staff that pours into him each day.Parent Review11mo ago - Silva Health Magnet High School

/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageCurrently, a Senior at Silva who will graduate with a 4.2 GPA, and I can tell you this school has prepared me with a strong resume for college and even the workforce. Silva does give you a great insight into the healthcare field and, by the time you graduate, you will definitely have a decision as to whether healthcare is for you or not. The clinical rotations at Silva are great, since they let you shadow in actual hospitals and see procedures you would only see during college such as surgeries. In addition, some senior programs even let you shadow any physician you want. As a graduating Silva student, I have obtained healthcare certifications that will allow me to work in a decent healthcare part-time job during college while building my resume for medical school. Everyone else that says that "Silva is too hard", just doesn't have the drive or doesn't put in the work to make up for a good grade. Silva is definitely not hard, it only requires a bit of determination. If you are a person who tends to underperform or slack off in school with the childish excuse that "it's too much for my mental health" then, I can assure you, you will have a bad time at Silva because you won't take responsibility for your failures and will blame it all on your teachers or your nonexistent teeneage "mental issues".Parent Review11mo ago - Career & Tech Ed Center

/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI enrolled two children here a few years apart and they had wonderful experiences participating in summer research programs, band, orchestra, math competitions and more. They made lifelong friends. They are both very well prepared for University and graduated high school with associate degrees.Parent Review3y ago - Check out schools near 7208 Gran Vida Dr.

"The Westside is lively, scenic naturescape, and basically all of it is pretty pet-friendly. It’s rlly seems like it was built just for dogs (and their humans, we guess). Take your dog for a walk at the stunning Moutin view roads or for a drive to one of its many dog parks. Bonus: You'll find more space for much cheaper here than downtown, which means more space for your pup to have fun!"
