The school district should be ashamed for choosing such a closed minded school with such poor communication skills to place special needs kids for the 2016-17 year.Parent Review9y ago2 Reviews - Kennewick High School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school has completely failed my kids and we have since transferred them out of the school. We have a son that has been bullied since day one at the school and he has tried to get help from the teachers multiple times. We met with the principal and all they did is move my son's classes and said that's the best they can do and he has to deal with it. Instead of confronting the kids that are bulling my son they said they didn't want to upset those kids so there's nothing they can do for him! Then just a few weeks ago a student brought a knife and other weapons to school, they had a list of kids they were going to attack (my daughter's name was on top of the list) and he even posted on social media that he was going to attack people at lunch! Luckily another parent saw this post and called the cops. The kid was caught but didn't get into trouble! They had his mom pick him up. When I asked the principal what was going to happen he told me that this kid had a right to on education and the knife he brought wasn't that big and kids bring knives to school all the time so it wasn't a big deal!! What!? Then he tried to guilt trip my daughter saying that this incident only happened because she has a big mouth! That kid was let back to school the next week and I was told if I didn't like it to move my kids out of thr school! This kid was harassing my daughter for months and trying to touch her inappropriately so much so that I had to go to the school to talk to them about it and they did nothing! The students safety is not a priority at this school all they care about is that these incidents don't make the news so they can keep a decent image. With all my kids going through this school we have delt with them for over 10 years and it was all miserable this last incident was the final straw. The only good thing at that school is Mr. Lawson my kids math teacher. He was the only one that went above and beyond to try to help my kids and the only one that took an interest in seeing them succeed. We have another young daughter that's going to be in middle school soon and we will not let her go to that school.Parent Review3mo ago3 Reviews - Check out schools near 7198 W 22nd Pl.

"We've lived in this neighborhood since 1989. It's family and pet friendly. People walk freely and feel safe. It's peaceful, just off the beaten track, yet close enough to amenities. Elliot's Lake brings in wildlife to enjoy. I have coffee with a heron most mornings in the summer. We are looking for a one level house, but this neighborhood and our neighbors here will be greatly missed. "

"Annual neighborhood yard sale. Nothing else comes to mind. We do have sidewalks on both sides and roads are well lit with street lights. Not any events other than the yard sale. We use to have an annual Easter egg hunt and picnic but don’t anymore. "

"I’ve lived in this neighborhood 20 years and raised 4 kids. We would recommend this area for people with kids and pets. There are three schools within walking distance. There are also restaurants, Walmart, Home Depot, hospitals and more. "

"Watch your kids, and know where they are, who they're with, and what they doing. It's very important here. It's a great place to grow up but it's still small enough to seem harmless yet big enough to have every temptation imaginable absolutely available to our youth. "
