About this House
This home means living all on one floor, with space for your washer and dryer right in the large kitchen. But there is a gigantic attic just waiting to be turned into play space or extra bedrooms. Furnace is 4 years old, most windows updated, recently passed the City of Syracuse Rental Registry inspection. The front yard is very pleasant in the summer due to the huge maple shading it. Back yard is sunny, fenced in.
Neighborhood Description
The North Side is a very diverse neighborhood that has been home to immigrants for over 100 years, reflected in the German and Italian street names. Not far is a German butcher shop that has been in business for nearly 100 years. Today the neighborhood is still diverse, with some of the old Italian and German families still around but with people from Viet Nam, Cambodia, the Sudan, Ethiopia, as well as American-born of all ethnic backgrounds. The city's best Vietnamese restaurant is just three blocks away. This neighborhood is very large and has some great parts, some not-so-great parts, and most of its areas somewhere in the middle. Spring Street is better than many parts of the North Side but is still very affordable. One of the best features of living in Syracuse is the "Say Yes to Education" program that guarantees a college education to every graduate of the city schools: www.sayyessyracuse.org This brings real value to your and your family.
