Other things to note
**Parking at this location might pose a slight challenge due to street restrictions. The street parking is limited to 2 hours between 9 am and 6 pm from Monday to Saturday. This regulation aims to preserve the residential nature of the area, particularly since we're conveniently close to downtown, deterring excessive tourist parking.

However, parking without time constraints is available within the block, albeit requiring a short walk to and from your car. Alternatively, if your daily routine involves being away, such as at work during the day, the parking limitation might not pose an issue.

For select rooms, parking at the rear of the home is provided. If you're considering a longer stay, we can explore the possibility of obtaining a residential permit. This permit would grant you the privilege to park out front without being subject to the 2-hour parking rule, offering added convenience and flexibility.

Living in a Victorian home provides a unique blend of historical allure and architectural details. Embracing these quirks adds to the experience, albeit sometimes requiring adaptation to the distinct features that come with its age.

Unique Layouts: These homes boast unconventional layouts showcasing the architectural styles of their era. Asymmetrical rooms, diverse ceiling heights, and unexpected nooks define their unique design.

Vintage Fixtures: Original features like ornate fireplaces, decorative molding, stained glass windows, and intricate woodwork reflect craftsmanship from the past.

Historical Aesthetics: Elaborate wallpapers, intricate details, and vibrant color schemes contribute to the home's rich aesthetics. Adapting your style to complement the historic ambiance might be necessary.

Quirky Spaces: Hidden staircases, peculiar room shapes, or secret passages add an adventurous element to daily life.

Maintenance & Safety: The home has been updated to meet modern safety standards despite its historic charm. However, maintaining older infrastructures might demand more attention and specialized care.

Temperature & Insulation: Challenges with insulation or heating are common in older homes.

Electrical & Plumbing: Please ensure that outlets are not overloaded and that piping is not blocked to prevent any issues.

"Every year there is more traffic and the road I live on is right off a main road so it’s difficult to get on main rd when there is a lot of traffic "
  • 7fnqhjf424
"Backcountry roads winding through wine country. Half an hour morning commute double that coming home because of all the work trucks, cement mixer trucks, heavy dump trucks, farming equipment and clueless tourists. "
  • 6kxpb7c792
"Dog owners don’t pick up their waste. Usually, the smaller the dog the less likely the owner thinks they should be a good person. Completely unacceptable."
  • Liz Jahren
"We have lots of dogs! They need to be able to be kind. They must be on leash. Owners must pick up poop. "
  • Gianni3333

  • Dustin w.
"i lived in this neighborhood for years. parking is a mess because no one uses their garage for cars. the houses are cheaply made and in terrible condition. it is a very safe neighborhood. there are stray cats everywhere to keep the rodent population under control. great location if you like to walk. "We enjoy weekly community prayer for our city at the town square, festivals, farmers markets, wineries and theatrical events. Many churches host weekly activities for highschoolers and junior highers."
  • Abbie Gubera
"General awareness and kindness in our neighborhood. We have an island a family on our street has "adopted" to take care of which makes it like we have a private park"
  • Isabelle Garson
"Work from home. When I commuted it was best to avoid rush hour and leave at 10 instead of 9 and 6 instead of 5."
  • Trulia User
"The neighborhood is great, but the number of young families is diminishing. Cost of housing is too high for most young families. This is not good for sustaining good elementary schools and child-friendly spaces. Hope things turn around quickly or this area will be a 55+ community soon."
  • Abbie Gubera
"all the nearby state parks, open space, amenities, grocery stores (gourmet) and the beauty of it with all the trees and vineyards"
  • Trulia User
"Our area is nice, pretty clean and good schools. We had fires 5 years ago, the likelihood of it happening here again is pretty slim. Excellent grocery store, an a few restaurants and good stores. We have lived here for about 7 years. We have no desire to move. Also it easy access to freeway and shopping centers. And hospital and medical clinics. Farmers markets every Wednesday and Saturday. Excellent area for families and friends. 100 words are hard to come up with."
  • Trulia User
