"They do not do anything special for our community. This is a very quiet neighborhood but up and coming for new families "
  • Stevie O.
"commute is ok with some traffic. getting to places doesn't seem to bad. we usually arrive on time to our destination. "
  • Stevie O.
"we have a county fair and a local area for concerts. we also have a community yard sale. really nothing to write home about."
  • Kourtney L.
"I do not enjoy this neighborhood and I am actively looking to move out as soon as possible. It is not safe for families. "
  • April T.
" peaceful and trust worthy. neighbors are friendly and we all try to watch out for each other it's a very nice place to be "

"my area is super nice and safe. my neighbors are nice. the transit bus comes down my road so if you don't have a car you can get to town for grocery. "
  • C s.
"Wonderful community setting to raise a family! I plan on living here the rest of my life. City living just a short drive away with country views to escape to."
  • Bfoust700
"Very good, close to freeways. Easy to get around. Close to town but just far enough out for your own quit space "
  • Chelseameans76
"great people, small quiet neighborhoods people are very friendly and lots of children for kids to make friends"
  • Yofrendonna
"Can be noisy. Fireworks set off several times a week. Foul language can be heard often. Not a good neighborhood for small children. Cars are often racing up and down streets and throughout parkways"
  • rndalljbauer
"Newport Creek South is located in northeast Monroe County. It is less than 5 miles from Wayne County and as a result, the property taxes are approximately 50% of those to the north. It is a community of 80 single family homes set up with condominium style governance. The community has city water and sewer, underground utilities. The community has sidewalks and is extremely walkable. It is conveniently located 2 mi. from I-75 for easy commutes to both Toledo and Detroit. It is also very convenient to state parks, golf courses, and Lake Erie docks. The area is fairly remote and is extremely desireable for those who enjoy a laid-back, rural lifestyle. Local restaurant, entertainment, and shopping choices are limited. This is not a problem, as Monroe, Toledo, Woodhaven, Flat Rock and Detroit are easy commutes. The community has a healthy mixture of familis with children, couples, singles, and retirees. Newport Creek South has all of the benefits of suburban living without the high crime and high taxes of other local communities. The community has a healthy mixture of familis with children, couples, singles, and retirees."

"People are not friendly. 15 mph speed limit not adhered to. Never see police patrol. Loud cars and motor cycles racing up and down street. Residents are loud, foul-mouthed, drinkers. Loud music can be heard until 1 a.m. often.Too often there are extremely loud fireworks late at night all year round. Not a good place for small children. Local playground is often overgrown. My home was broken into. Police need to patrol this area. I moved because I have young, impressionable children"
