6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageFrenship High School is an amazing school!!! Everyone at the school was amazing when my son went to school there. They have a zero tolerance bullying policy and they stick to it 100%!!!! They were all so kind and caring when my dad passed away unexpectedly from leukemia in September 2020, the beginning of my son's senior year. Thankfully my dad didn't have COVID, but it was still a complete nightmare for all of us!!!! Everyone from the principal, to the teachers and nurses were concerned about my son and check on him on a regular basis after he returned to school. Frenship High School is a VERY safe school!!!! They have their own police department that patrols the schools on a regular basis. All doors are kept locked except for one of the front doors and you can only go into the office. You can't access the rest of the school or the students at all. They are extremely protective of their students and they do everything possible to keep them all safe under any and all circumstances!!! Frenship High School built a 9th grade center for just the 9th graders to attend before moving to the high school, which was wonderful!!! When my son was in the 9th grade center, a student at the high school made a stupid comment, which they took VERY seriously!!!!! They locked down all of the schools in Wolfforth and they had the Wolfforth police, the Frenship ISD police and the Lubbock police and swat team out there. They did EVERYTHING to assure there was no threat to the students and that they were safe. Thankfully they were all safe. During that time, I texted my son a lot. I knew that the teachers would understand us calling or texting our kids excessively to make sure they were safe. Lots of parents went there even though we were told not to. I didn't go to the school. Texting my son a lot made me feel better and I wanted to stay out of the way of the police and swat team. Like I said, it was a stupid comment by a kid and nothing bad happened. But they took it seriously and did everything great to make sure all of the kids were safe. I always felt that my son was safe at Frenship High School and he absolutely loved going to school there!!!!! The only thing he didn't like was how crowded it was but it's an extremely popular and amazing school and they are planning to build a 2nd high school to help with the huge number of students attending there.Parent Review3y ago3 Reviews - North Ridge Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI feel that my experience with North Ridge Elementary School has not been very great, and that the staff could be more welcoming, and also fix they're attitudes when parents ask too speak with the principals. The staff could work with they're communications skills when something happens even if it is a small issue, I say the principals need more training on how too deal with bullying and the school district should have them train on how too also involve both parents when they're is a bullying situation with any children, they need too also have a policy about no bullying on the school property, and kids should be suspended or have ISS after school and having a lesson with the child that is bullying another child. Teachers should be teaching them it is not okay too bully in they're classrooms or gym or recess and in lunch or anywhere on the school property, teachers and other staffs should do something if they see any child or adult bullying anyone on the North Ridge Elementary property. I describe the community as okay but again working on communication skills, and bullying. Myself, and my husband feel that our son has grown with his teacher, but we do feel that teachers do not get much help when it comes too the students needing help with a bully the principals do not take the bullying seriously it's like they don't want too call right away too the parents when it happens right then and there they would rather have the child wait till the end of school is out then the child gets home and they break down and cry then the child tells they're parents what happened too them. North Ridge Elementary needs too have training on bullying and communication skills!Parent Review9mo ago7 Reviews - Terra Vista Middle School

"I love the area! Very safe! The neighbors are long time residents. It's situated 10 minutes to anywhere and about 5 minutes to TTU. Close to Atkins Elementary and three blocks from a nice park with a pond. Two blocks from a Supermarket, and several fast food restaurants. Very quiet and secure. "

"Lubbock is a large small city. On this W side of Lubbock, crime is low, close to interstate, a mall within 1/2 mile, another within 3 miles, great restaurants, parks galore. This particular neighborhood is private, with our own clubhouse, 2 pools, great neighbors, great schools, A truly family friendly, safe neighborhood. Most homes in this area are approximately 2500 to 5400 square feet. "
