"I live near the municipal golf course in one of the nicer parts of Alice. It is a decent neighborhood, but after living in this house for 3 years I do not know a single neighbor. It’s kind of strange. The school system is under par as well. I will be leaving as soon as possible. "

"no street lights. loose dogs. bad roads. older area needs alot of help, resembles Mexico. people are friendly but homes aren't updated. property values are low."

"Alice Texas was settled as a stop off station for the trails leading to Corpus Christi from the west, later during the oil boom developed into a thriving city. As the Jim Wells County seat, there are lots of opportunites for growth. A little bit of country with easy access to the big cities of Corpus Chrisit and San Antonio."
