Description

OCEANFRONT PARADISE - SCONSET

Breathtaking, unobstructed Atlantic Ocean views! Immerse your senses with the sites and sounds of the ocean that Ack Deco provides. Enjoy fun filled memories with family and friends in the throwbACK Village of Sconset -- bike to the market for fresh pastries, stroll along the beach or bluff, and watch artists painting one of the most charming areas on the East Coast.

After waking to the sunrise, take quiet walks to Sankaty Lighthouse and the Village, bike the island, grab a local brew at Cisco, pick up local vegetables and gourmet foods at Bartlett Farms, or, if you're adventurous, go clamming or, in the Fall, cranberry bogging!

The focal point of this recently updated 4-bedroom house nestled on Sconset's bluff are the infinity line views of the ocean, with sun filled rooms, including an expansive great room that's perfect for entertaining. Experience the simple elegance of the house design, which was influenced by Frank Lloyd Wright, the rationale for the house name.

Ack Deco provides fast WiFi and smart devices for streaming media. The great room offers a gourmet kitchen with chef-level accoutrements, including All Clad cookery and Cutco knives, a French press or AeroPress and espresso machine. The dining area, seats 8-10, and is alongside the spacious living room, all with panoramic ocean views. Bright-colored nautical artwork by Nancy Hammond is themed throughout the house and provides the ambiance perfect for entertaining and family fun!

A library of relevant children and adult games, such as Apples to Apples and Cards Against Humanity are included. The Master bedroom with eastern views has an ensuite bathroom and adjoining second story study and media room, each with ocean views. All bedrooms boast luxurious linens, an assortment of bed pillows, and ample access to outlets.

The on-grade level has three additional bedrooms with queen size beds, two baths, one with a spa tub, and a laundry room to clean up after the beach. Bluetooth speakers and a record player with a library of timeless 'vinyls' are provided in the Gathering Room and Outside.

Outside is a bluestone patio, outdoor seating, a barbeque providing protection from the wind and surf. Beach toys and beach chairs are provided. Bicycles can be rented upon request. There is a large lawn beyond on the east overlooking the ocean conducive to adult and child play. The west lawn is adjacent to a carport, with sheltered parking connected to the circular drive for up to three cars, and entrance to the house.

"I’ve lived in Nantucket for 9 years and it’s a nice place to live , however the cost of living is outrageous...! !! Actually 497% above the national average.. the cost increases every day and is displacing locals on a regular basis.. it’s a huge problem that currently does not have a practical solution.."
  • Frank C.
"Wonderful vacation community. Been coming here for 40’years. On to the third generation. Hope to own one day. "
