The carpet could use a cleaning, and you may eventually choose to update the flooring. Some fresh paint and minor drywall finishing would also make an easy cosmetic refresh. The architectural-shingle roof is less than one year old, HVAC is approximately four years old, and the water heater is approximately six years old. A new roof may not be glamorous, but your bank account knows how attractive it really is. Out back, a covered, enclosed private patio provides a protected spot for coffee, relaxing, or entertaining. There's also a workshop/storage building for tools, lawn equipment, projects, and the 47 things you're keeping because "we might need those someday." Petal keeps everyday conveniences close, with Hattiesburg just a short drive away and easy travel toward Laurel and the Mississippi Gulf Coast. The Petal Area Chamber of Commerce highlights numerous honors the city has received for its schools, safety, quality of life, and desirability as a place to purchase a home. Petal has also been recognized among Mississippi's best places to live, and Sports Illustrated previously named it Mississippi's "Sports Town." Apparently, Petal has been busy collecting accolades while the rest of us were trying to remember where we put our keys.
