Some of the surrounding homes include the "Hope Floats" house from the 1998 feature film with Sandra Bullock, and the "Tree of Life" home another feature film to be released May 2011 starring Brad Pitts and Sean Pean. The 7 block is the end of Gresham as it t's into Colorado Street that fronts the Colorado River which makes for breezy evenings.

Shopping is a short drive away in near by Smithville, Home of the movie " Hope Floats" and many more. Some of the best BBQ you can find in the state comes from Smithville! Located between Bastrop and La Grange you have the best of both worlds with country living and the conveniences of being in town. This property would be ideal for the retiree or a young family! A real must see. It really is a great home, Nothing like it in this price range!"
