8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child is special needs, but is not part of a contained classroom. He's had some wonderful teachers and an amazing case worker. The school has provided support and accommodations for his education, but severely lacks any type of program, support fort for anything extracurricular. The statistics demonstrate that Boerne highschool special needs students/ students with disabilities get suspended twice as much as the regular education students. I truly believe the lack of extracurricular opportunities for these students is the culprit. Students at the school are polite to their special needs population, but for my son their's been zero extracurricular opportunities. I'm an educator by profession and know that this is a true problem that needs to be addressed.Parent Review3y ago2 Reviews - Boerne Middle North

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBased on some of these reviews it seems to me there are a few parents who don't quite know how the chain of command works within an organization. I'm thinking they are having "issues with teachers" and taking it to the administration rather than working with the teacher to make the necessary corrections. So when the prinicpal doesn't tell them what they want to hear they come on here and post a bad review. There are certainly times when dealing with the administration is necessary, but only as a last resort. I have had no problems with Curington what-so-ever. Fantastic school, fantastic teachers, fantastic counselor, and yes a fantastic NEW adminstration (not that I ever had any issues with the previous principal). It is a tremendous learning environment with top notch parent involvement. As for test scores, Curington at one point had the ONLY ESL program in the district. It's been proven year in year out by the administration that when those in the ESL program who struggle with the standardized tests have their scores extrapolated out, Curington actually has the highest elementary school scores in the district...yes, higher than Cibolo.Parent Review13y ago2 Reviews - Check out schools near 706 E Blanco Rd #100.

"It’s far. Traffic can be a lot on some days. But I prefer to live outside of San Antonio. It’s calm and not as busy as the city. "

"Safe. Family friendly. Great schools. Scenic. Quiet. Peaceful. Friendly. Does lack diversity of cultures though but I hope that changes now that more people are moving to Boerne. Traffic on I-10 is difficult most days but the frontage and back roads are always good alternatives. "

"I have lived here outside of Bulverde and Boerne,Tx. for over 23 yrs.. People own acres here vs close neighbors like the city. however, we know each other and are kind and helpful should you ever need them. Activities are planned including an occasional farmers market and we are close to GUADALUPE national park so there is kayaking, etc. opportunities. "

"I've lived in this neighborhood for ten years. It's very friendly with a few annual events, including a Halloween potluck + a trick-or-treating hayride for the kids, and a big Christmas party/potluck for the adults. The 1.5 mile cul-de-sac is hilly and curvy and quite scenic. You can hand-feed the deer from your car in some areas. You can do a safe but challenging 5-mile run by doing the entire road plus all the side streets."

"They would enjoy walking their dogs in a small, quiet neighborhood away from even the minor hustle and bustle of Boerne proper, along with the ability to take their dogs down to the river and swim around a bit in our private neighborhood park with river access."

"I see people walking dogs all during the day,and never see dogs running loose. I hardly ever hear barking dogs, even at night."

"Your dog always has to be on a leash there's no free reign to have them walk next to you. It's not as much fun."
