About this House

Unique home with lots of character and attention to detail located in the historic Edgewood area of Charleston. Crown moulding, wainscoting and trim throughout, beautiful appearance inside and out. Three floors of living space. Gorgeous kitchen and bathroom. Many renovations and updates to the home over the past 12 years - new roof/gutters/gutter guards, new double-paned high-efficiency windows, privacy fence, screened in porch (18ftx10ft), updated light fixtures, landscaping, fully renovated kitchen and bathroom, new insulated garage door. Kitchen and Bathroom were designed based on the TV show Fixer Upper. Paint colors throughout the home were also chosen from Fixer Upper. Top of the line KraftMaid cabinetry in both kitchen and bathroom - pull out shelves in kitchen pantry/cabinets. Corian Counterops (molded sinks into bathroom countertop), Subway Tile, ceramic tile flooring in kitchen and bathroom. Stainless steel appliances. Kitchen has farm style double-sided, deep sink. Full size attic with wood flooring - tons of storage space between the attic and laundry room (1,945 sq ft does not include the unfinished portion of basement, the garage, screened in porch or attic).

Original Oak Hardwood floors throughout main and second level, basement is carpeted. Very convenient location. Modern, high-efficiency furnace/heating system (gas heating - low heating bills), central a/c, additional gas heater and wood burning stove in basement. Gas fireplace insert in main living room. All public utilities. The back yard is the largest on our block according to city maps. It is great for children, pets and entertaining. There is a good amount of private space.

This home needs very few updates. We have taken very good care of this home. We have painted the privacy fence every 3 years with Sherwin Williams DeckScapes paint to keep the wood protected. We recently started treating the yard (front and back) with TruGreen lawn service. We paid for one year of service and the service will continue for the next home owner. This a unique, very well built, solid home with nice amenities. The home is listed for the same amount per sq ft that I bought it for in 2005 (we’ve finished the basement and increased square footage in addition to the completely new kitchen and bathroom). I am selling by owner and not with a realtor to keep the costs down. I am open to a realtor representing a potential buyer. However, if a realtor is involved, there is less room for negotiation.
