"Yearly Cherry festival. In the town square they have events all year round. Around Christmas time the stores around the square decorate and open for Christmas events. With santa and a horse drawn carriage ride and candlelight walk in the square. So much fun!"
  • Christina M.
"The people are so friendly. Great walking and biking trails. A very safe community. Great schools and educators. "
  • Chris.ash.be
"I travel a lot my commute is not relevant. However, travel to Peoria from Washington has very little traffic compared to major cities. Travel to major cities can be a problem because the local airports (Peoria and Bloomington) are not hubs and have few options"
  • Bradr86
"Small town with friendly residents. Bike trails and other outdoor activities available. Plenty of parts for kids. "
  • Clvitello
"Lived here for 12 yrs and I love my neighborhood. It’s quiet, clean and a cozy place to live. I love the little shops at the square and love the people."
  • Samantha R.
"dogs are welcome in this neighborhood, I have but dogs and neighbors never complain. most of my neighbor's don't leave there dogs outside barking which is appreciated"
  • Longtimeresident

"Dog walkers are around often. New dog park. Plenty of areas to walk dog more than just neighborhood...there are parks and trails and a small lake nearby."
  • Jill H.
"I have lived here two years and absolutely love my neighbors!!!!!!! The neighborhood is safe - always kids playing - you can walk your dog at night and feel safe! Down fall - taxes suck! "
  • Matthew W. J. J.
"Lived here my whole life, awesome. Great people and great parks and schools. Love it and wouldn't change anything besides getting more social events going."
  • Janetjoyner r.
"I’ve olives here for 5 years and have enjoyed it. Hinges are just average, but most everyone I have met has been friendly. I walk my little dachshunds around the neighborhood regularly and people nearly always wave and such. There are a few places to eat within walking distance and a WalMart, Menards an Aldi all within 5 mins drive. The schools are definitely better than PEORIA. I have never had a theft or anything like that."
  • Matthew W. J. J.
"5 years living here and it's nice to be next to everything. Convenient and friendly everywhere. Can hear the higahcool music once in awhile. "
