"I don’t think there’s a lot of community events, but I’m an introverted Hewitt native so…I think they still do National Night Out in the summer "
  • David Sanchez
"Everything.. the people and the amenities are great for any and all ages. Still has that small town feel but has just about everything one needs to have an awesome environment."
  • missylight1984
"There are none as far as I know I know that the churches have events and stuff but not everyone is comfortable doing that kind of thing "
  • Brock
"Hewitt is a great place to raise a family! From middle school on was my experience and I have lived around the world. Would 100 percent recommend."
  • Alejandro Ramrez

  • Pruitt F.
"schools are amazing. community is family oriented. safe neighborhoods. we have lived here over 10 years and couldn't ask for better school. "
  • Trulia User
"Great town to live in! Moved here for my job and have loved it ever since. Definitely feel very safe here! "
  • Akristyn
"Not enough trees. And the weeds and stickers have taken over everyone’s yard. Also you can not have outdoor cats. They will go outside and never return. We have lost 2 in the 3.5 years we have lived here. Now we have a cat that stays indoors. The neighborhood itself is awesome. I feel extremely safe and everyone is very nice and helpful."
  • Patricia F.
"Nice, Clean & quiet. The neighbors seem to be friendly! Nice park in the neighborhood. I'm considering moving here."
  • Ashley W.
"Easy access to I35 and a 10-15min drive gets you to most places in Waco. Txdot construction is planned over the next 5 years but those delays still pale in comparison to commute times in larger cities (e.g. Houston, Austin, Dallas, Atlanta...)"
  • Richelle S.
"Nice, country feel. The street is busier & need to be watchful of children & pets. The houses are a little bit of a distance apart."
  • Jonesac22
"They wouldn’t even know we have dogs. They don’t bark outside unless alarmed and they never get out. "
  • ElizabethD
"I have lived here for eleven years. Everybody is so friendly. I feel safe here. Patrolled, lit up."
  • Tanya H. S.
"It's friendly, neighbors watch out for each other. Schools are great and parents are involved. Courteous neighbors. "
  • Shutoffyourmindandthink
"Just about everybody has dogs that lives around me including myself. I rarely see a dog out loose, but a lot of people do leave their dogs outside all day-everyday and not only does it seem cruel on some days, they also have major lack in manners. I've lived here for almost 8 years and those same dogs have barked manically at me for 8 years. And all I'm doing is taking out the trash. Kind of annoying."
  • Kadeem L.
"Great neighbors quiet area great cops and firefighters great parks close by no trash schools close by "
