Beautifully remodeled and modernized 1950's-era bungalow at the cross-roads of the most neighborly, friendly, walk-able, pet-friendly and Bohemian community in Davis: Davis Manor :-)

The kitchen and living space a beautiful, open grand room with vaulted ceilings, brightly-lit with natural light from skylights. The living space, in nice weather, is 'one' with the fully-irrigated rear yard and its operating fountain. The front yard is spacious and irrigated with a variety of mature fruit trees and beautiful plants. There are raised beds and custom landscape features along with ample space on the east side for a home garden.

The house is an easy walk or bike ride from downtown Davis, the Davis Food COOP and one block to the neighborhood shopping center with Symposium Restaurant, International Food Market and Grocery Outlet. It's also a three-minute walk to the Da-Vinci School.

The house was completely remodeled in 2005 with new insulation added to the ceilings and all interior and exterior walls making the home very quiet and sound-resistant even between bedrooms and living spaces. There are dual-pane windows throughout and new solid-interior doors in clear vertical grain Doug Fir. The bathroom was remodeled in 2019 with a simple and beautifully-tiled walk-in shower.
Pets are welcome! (dogs, cats) There is a deposit, based on pet interview -- fully refundable if there is no pet damage.

This is a wonderful neighborhood - probably the most 'neighborly' and un-suburb-like neighborhood in Davis. People wave, walk their dogs, bicycle. Several of the houses even have 'library boxes' in the front yard similar to Share-It Square in Portland. A block to the south there is a street mural painted by the neighbors, and two blocks away is the N Street Mini-Park that the neighborhood is actively restoring.
You won't be dealing with the typical Davis rental-agency that specializes in cheap repairs and turning over property every 1-2 years. The Davis landlord cares deeply about the property and will be managing 703 M Street himself. "I want you to feel this is your home, and I will be responsive to any issues you may have and I wish to keep the house looking good and well-maintained. I treat my tenants as I would like to be treated, being a renter myself in Davis for over 40 years."

You would be hard-pressed to find a similar 3 and 1 house this nice! Unlike many houses in Davis, this one actually looks like the pictures on-line when you see it in person!
"It's a little gem in the neighborhood" as one neighbor described it.

Property is ready for a November 1st move in! Would prefer a 16 month lease and then a 12 month there after.
