I know on this website, the school has a low rating, but as a mom and educator myself, I see all good things at this school. The teachers are amazing, patient, available, highly competent, and caring. The principal is awesome too- works hard- keeps things positive on campus- keeps parents informed. We are a low income, inner-city school with about 40% of our students being English Language Learners and 10% are students with special needs. Our scores reflect those challenges. What scores don't reflect is that our kids are loved. There are extraordinary teachers at Santa Ana High School. We put relationships first. Our kids know everyday that they are safe, they are cared for and they are loved. We send kids to Stanford, Harvard, UCLA, USC, Berkeley--every year, but we also work miracles with the kids that are struggling in every conceivable way to find their talent, believe in their worth and find a way to be successful--which doesn't always come from a four-year university for all kids. I'm not just saying this because I teach there, I'm saying it because it's true and I am honored and humbled to be a part of this school every damn day.Teacher Review4y ago - Willard Intermediate School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWillard is the worst school I've ever been to no wonder why the teachers change schools to teach. I am a former student. I DO NOT reccomend your child to attened this school. It's ridiculous you would ever call this a school. Kids are talking back to the teacher all the time. Nobody does their homework. I would probably say 3 out of 5 kids to drugs or consume any type of alocohal beverage. There is NO future for people who attend this school. Its so sad to see such a horrible school. Nobody pays attention in class. I can honestly say I'm so glad I don't come here anymore or to any school in the Santa Ana Unified School District even though a few are okay. I didn't attened my 8th grade promotion because, I wasn't proud to graduate from this school. I got an award for U.S. History but, I don't care. I feel bad for everyone who has something to do with this school. Its such a horrible enviroment.
