I am a substitute at BTW and have been there on a regular basis for two years. There has not been a single teacher or administrator that has not shown a great love for these children and their education. There are children from troubled homes, kids with behavior problems, BUT the staff, the community and the parents will not give up!

"Neighbors don’t clean after their dogs, lots of roadkill, loud neighbors, other than that there’s a nice dog park 4 minutes away."

"Certain streets are nice and quiet, downtown is not too far and neither is SOMA. Being downtown there is a large and vulnerable homeless population. I feel mostly safe aside from catcalls here and there, but I wouldn't walk around at night without my dogs. I have been approached by some unstable men a few times at night while walking them. "
