Our Som has been in the West Orange Public school system for 5 years going into 8th grade. We are very happy and love all his teachers.

The school is good at best. I am a previous student and i would also like to point out how incompetent it is that most of the friendships your students will make will be severed due to ~1/2 of the school going to Roosevelt And half going to Liberty

A school that truly embraces every child and every familyWhen we moved from Turkey, my son didn’t know a single word of English. He started 1st grade here as a complete beginner, and he’s naturally an observer the kind of child who watches carefully before he opens up. From day one, Redwood Elementary made us feel like we weren’t alone in this journey.The level of care and attention we received was something we had never experienced before. Every day we received updates like what he ate, how he was feeling, even a note that he was blinking a lot and they wondered if he’d slept well. That kind of detail tells you everything about how much they truly see each child.The school’s embrace of different cultures and social activities was new to us and something we deeply appreciated. Our son had moments of homesickness, and the school counselor was right there for him and for us as parents.We are endlessly grateful to Dr. Jackson, Mrs. Birman, Mrs. Bradley, Angela, and Mrs. Beutel, who gave their heart and soul to support our family through this transition. No amount of thanks feels sufficient.If you are a family new to this country, or simply looking for a school that genuinely cares. Redwood Elementary is that place.
