About this House

2 story traditional with brick addition. Westside neighborhood with relaxed atmosphere. Mix of long-time residents, student rentals and traditional rentals. This home has undergone a complete remodel and rehab!

From the exterior you’ll notice the all new energy efficient windows and new front and rear exterior doors. A new color scheme of high-quality paint has given the structure an updated appearance. The roof was replaced in 2018.

Walk into the living room and you’ll see new waterproof laminate flooring has been installed throughout, with the exception of the bath and laundry which has ceramic tile. The kitchen was completely gutted and rehabbed with solid wood (5 ply plywood) cabinets and all new GE appliances - gas range, side-by-side refrigerator with ice and water, and a built-in microwave oven! Corrian countertops in both the kitchen and bath. The kitchen has a beautiful glass tile backsplash! Nice office/study area ok of the right of the kitchen. The house has both a living room and family room separated by the staircase to the 2 upstairs bedrooms. Large bedroom downstairs .

Nearly all of the lighting fixtures throughout are new energy efficient LED’s. Many $$$ in electrical upgrades throughout! All new zoned electric heat pump with AC. The original gas hot water system remains and works great, so there are 2 heat systems!

Literally hundreds of hours were spent repairing walls and applying new paint throughout. The bathroom was also gutted and expanded. All new plumbing, new tub, new sinks, and an expanded laundry closet!

"The drive to school is easy and fast, and heading to Columbus or Parkersburg is easy and smooth. With RT 33 and RT50 intersecting here any destination is an easy run. "
  • Trulia User
"very college oriented town, lots of farmers markets and breweries! safe and quiet mostly year round, students can cause an increase in music heard in the evenings but OU does not get out of control like it used to years ago. plenty of nature and wildlife around as well, you’ll be surprised at just how often you get to see deer in your own backyard! "
  • Michael Carson
"Great small town vibes. The food, the friends the environment is perfect for family life. If you have kids the schools are great. Perfect college town!"
  • Beckettrking

"Athens is a great place to live and raise a family. Because of the university, it has some big city amenities and a small town feel. Cost of living isnt bad, either. "
  • Dianna B.
