My daughter has attended this school since kindergarten and is now in middle school. We love everything. From the teachers to the house system to the administration. Best school!

The new principal is a rookie, doesn’t know procedures and employees rights. Showed favoritism and doesn’t trust their employees.

I went here for my sophomore and junior(senior) year and honestly they were both bad experiences socially and educationally. The teachers genuinely do not teach well, the students are rude, disrespectful, and don’t respect the classroom environment and the faculty/administration are utterly useless and do not do ANYTHING about bullying/harassment unless you get into a fight but even then, you’ll get in trouble for fighting back. I got assaulted and harassed by a boy and all they did was tell our teacher to keep us separated. From what I have seen and heard, there are more kids in intensive reading than there are in regular english/reading classes. These kids do not have basic comprehension skills or math skills. The kids are also racist and spew hateful rhetoric and say racial slurs to people of color. This school also does not have career programs. They spend all their money on football and remodeling the school. I would highly suggest going to Gateway for a nursing program and go to Lehigh Senior or East Lee.

I won't say much but this school sucks I can't wait to go to a different school honestly I spoke of something that happened and it was told it was a lie it's not but I got 2 days of iss for telling the assistant principal that people came up to me and now I'm the only one in iss the other students are still in there classes I feel like no ones on my side like I don't want to be ur favorite for u to realize what's wrong and right I told the truth and I get called a liar then go to iss for no reason at all and for two days def favorites.

Every staff & administrator is on a massive powertrip.

This school is possibly the most problematic and worst school in the whole district. This school provides poor education, the staff and teacher are disrespectful, racist, and very rude towards the students and parents. Even if your kid has done nothing and has a good excuse they will still do something against them and favor other students over them. The education is poor, not even half of the teacher knows how to handle students and teach them properly, no wonder the school tests scores are so low. In this school almost 90% of the students obtain tests scores of level 1 and the average is far below 3. Staff and counselors can handle situational properly. Recently one of my kids friends reported a girl who was harassing her and the staff did nothing in order to help her, instead they sided with the kid that was harassing her and threatened my kids friend, they insulted her and said that she initiated the problem when she was just trying to deal with it without needed to use violence. I cannot comprehend how this school treats their students as if they were less. This school has stupid rules that don’t contribute to lower the fights instead they just do nothing about and lay all this guilt in the honest, good and decent kids instead of doing something to those who already have a record and instigate more fights. They just put a blind eye to the real problems and focus on unnecessary issues like your kids shoes and whatever the color is. Don’t listen to what the district and media say, this school is hell for its students and it always has been, the new principal had done close to nothing to actually help its students, instead they just focus on fixing their reputation which can be seen by their low tests scores, is a shame that the teacher won’t even teach the students what they are suppose to, I wouldn’t be surprise if half of the students end up working at MCDonalds being in this school. If you really love your kids and appreciate their education please don’t send them to this school, this will only harm them deeply and affect their mental and physical health in many more ways that you can think of. Please consider this message and put your kids and a school who really solves problems instead of giving an blind eye every time something actually happens. If you are a parent s reading this, please know better and guarantee the safety and appreciation of your kids because in this school they won’t have any of that. This school is honestly just trash, thanks.

This school has gone severely down hill over the last couple of years. I have tried and failed at getting my daughter transferred. I could list several reasons, but this, THIS is it! My daughter is having a hard time completing her IReady assignments. She’s not as fast at learning as the school would like her to be. She failed to pass her IReady assignment the week prior so they issued her a lunch detention. While she was in detention they had the students redo the assignments they couldn’t pass. They told her and the other students that “They need to try harder to pass their test because they used to be a B school but now they are not!” Are you kidding me? I’m livid!!!!!! Why would you put that pressure on a 10 year old?!?! Why not call it study hall? Why PUNISH them? Why not encourage? Why not explain they’re getting extra time or a second chance to catch up? This school just wants to put FEAR in our children so they can rank higher!!! Absolutely disgusting!

I love this school for my child. The teachers and administrators are really great. The teachers care for the students and push for them to do well. There's diversity among staff and same with the students. I recommend this school as they will offer your child a great learning experience.

They are terrible. The teachers don’t teach and they’re disrespectful. And especially the administrator my daughter comes home, crying almost every day because all the teachers are very rude and disrespectful to her. If you want your child to succeed, do not send them here.

As a student that goes to the school, I’ll be 100% honest while I’m writing this this school is horrible. They tell the kids to be good so they can get to be all school students will bully other students. Teachers will bully students. Teachers don’t even teach most teachers don’t know what they’re teaching about and send you the in school suspension administration. Don’t tell the truth to parents and a kid got expelled for getting slammed on the door by administration instead of the administration getting fired. Only thing I would suggest the school for is 12th grade because. You may be able to get into colleges for free like FGCU but nothing else overall the school is very bad. I do not suggest sending your kids here for high school. Send them to the other gateway for middle school. You can send them to varsity lambs. You have a lot of options.
