"Lots of dogs everywhere in most stores and restaurants. Lots of areas and trails to walk and hike with dogs Good vets and other services for pet owners. "
  • Carolyn.yelland
"Very neighborly and beautifully kept homes in our neighborhood, most homes are Pacific Northwest style and fit right in with the forested setting, with a beautiful creek running right through it, a beautiful creekside park down the street, a seasonal campground adjoining the park, snow covered mountains in our back yard, extensive trails out the back door, and we can walk in to town. It’s a very artsy western town with all kinds of art galleries and musical events and festivals and outdoor events with all the mountain biking trails, and has a real community spirit to it. "
  • Carolyn.yelland
"Miles and miles of off-leash trails right outside our neighborhood, and nice parks with lots of green grass, however, Sisters is lacking a dog park."
  • Happygardner8
"We live in a gated 55 and older restricted community. It’s wonderful and feels safe. Very friendly neighbors and pretty kept up homes. Close to shopping and services. "
  • Gigi Kahanamoku
"Walkable town and great stores and restaurants for visitors and locals alike. Beautiful for winter and summer! "
  • Happygardner8
"I don’t have a commute. Retired senior, daily community volunteer for non profit. Driving around town isn’t too hard if you can deal with the Hwy 20 constant traffic thru the center of town. The massive tourist sector is a big challenge to maneuver around in Sisters. "
  • Happygardner8
"You have to pick up after your dog every where.if you don’t , you’ll hear about it pretty quick. Keep them on a leash, no dog parks in Sisters. "
  • Carolyn.yelland
"Great neighbors and a rural feel but right in town and very walkable to town. Hiking trails just down the street. Everything we need right here."
  • Happygardner8
"Friday night lights . Local Friday night High School Football is a must in Sisters. Great place to meet and greet your friends and neighbors. Really fun and easy walk to the field. Lots of retirees here. "
  • Happygardner8
"All the shops in this tourist driven town ,allow dogs. Water bowls abound. Just keep them on a leash and under control. "
  • Jason B.
"10 minute drive into Sisters. No traffic most days. Local events and tourism can cause some delay’s and trouble taking left hand turns on some roadways. "
  • Tierra
"just a great community with plenty of farming property. the neighbors are close but not too close. I like it here"
  • Nldurb
"Family friendly area. Great schools and lots of trails to walk. A good assortment of reasonably priced restaurants. "
  • Gary C.
"I live 20 minutes from town. I love the quietness and openness of my surroundings. It’s a quiet piece that I call home"
  • Deb o.
"Sisters is a great place to live. It has a warm and friendly feel to it. The downtown area is quaint and has a western flavor. It has great schools and lots of community support for education."
  • sebi301220
"Sisters is a small Central Oregon community 20 miles from the larger towns of Bend and Redmond Oregon. Everything you could want is within a short distance including hiking/biking, snowshoeing and skiing in the winter as well as top notch restaurants, a luxury spa, a wine bar and a craft brewery (Three Creeks). And the deer roam freely in this town - you will often find them on your lawn. A rustic paradise for those that love the outdoors - it is Oregon's best kept secret... but not for long. "
  • john
"Aspen Lakes Community and Sisters Oregon has it all, all types of sports close to home, Skiing Bachelor, beautiful lakes and streams, great fly fishing, water skiing, hiking, biking and hunting. Great schools in Sisters too."
  • bjm
"I own property in this area, just outside of Sisters Oregon, with in a short distance from Aspen Lake golf course. The weather is good. The Cascade Mountains are stunning, particularly in winter. We see lots of deer and other wildlife. The people who live in and around Sisters are neighborly. It is a great place to have a house."
