Imperial Beach is charming and laid back, experiencing a wonderful renaissance of its own, bringing trendy restaurants to the area while retaining its small town charm., and only a 10-minute drive to Coronado for great shopping and cocktails at the classic Hotel Del Coronado. Imperial Beach is truly a hidden gem, reminiscent of the classic beach towns of old. Miles and miles of uncrowded, white sandy beaches, littered with seashells and sand dollars, and with magnificent views of the historic pier, Coronado Island and the San Diego skyline.

There is no large corporate or chain businesses other than 7-11, no buildings allowed higher than 3-story, much of the beach area houses were built in the 50’s and 60’s. Many are now remodeled and nice. The IB pier is quite beautiful with regular fishermen, surfers and people walking. "
