4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWonderful school. My kids went here and it was a much better experience for them then the school they went to in a big city. Kids don’t get into fights and bullying is almost non existent compared to Vancouver schools. The teachers they had were all amazing and really cared for the kids. Unlike cities like Vancouver or Portland, it is unheard of for teenagers to be trying hard drugs in Kalama. "this is a very small and quiet community. you must drive to another city approximately 13 miles for groceries or anything else after 9pm because everything is closed except for the one gas station here (cheveron)"

"This little town offers all the essentials of life plus it is a quiet burb. Only 30 min from Portland/Vancouver it is an easy commute for many. The Port of Kalama offers boat mooring and public boat launch to the Columbia River. This area offer great fishing within a 5 minute boat ride. The town is known for antiques for those so disposed. Remember Portland is only 30 minutes away and NO SALES Tax and Kalama means no state income taxes."
